3 Year old Trim Tabs; Warranty Denied

They are doing something wrong over at Lenco, nowadays. After 3 years, my trim tabs began to separate at the welds. After reaching-out to Lenco, I was told this was not a warranty issue. Lenco says its a corrosion issue, due to a lack of anodes. If they need anodes, Lenco should sell them that way! That said, I brought the blades to a marine welder and was briefed on the numerous Lenco repairs they make, and that the failure is due to poor manufacturing. I never thought I would say this about Lenco, but think twice before going this route.

Don’t rely on Lenco Warranty

I had Lenco trim tabs on my 2019 Key West 219fs that are under hull mounted. Both trim tabs have come off under way breaking off at the actuators only leaving wires, and putting holes in my transom. Lenco blamed corrosion and not having anodes. There was no space to mount the anodes as there was just enough room for the actuator base on the plane and 1/4 inch room between the hull and plane. Bad design and they are using a loophole to not cover under their 5 year warranty. Don’t buy them.

Amazing!!!!!

These trim tabs are absolutely amazing!! I put them on my campion 188 and it turned it from an unstable boat I wanted to sell to a rock solid boat I absolutely love !! It pops out of the water and gets up on plane within seconds now! They were super easy to install! I highly recommend purchasing if you are thinking about it!!! You’ll be kicking yourself for not doing it earlier.

Would buy these trim tabs again

Have had these installed on my 20ft sea serpent for a few months now. This was probably the best investment I have made so far. It’s a completely different boat now. So glad I got these trim tabs

Easy install and performance improvement is significant.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. 2-person job to place the tabs. The electrical connections are plug and play and very clean.
