Works well on my Carry-On 5X8GW utility trailer. I mounted it on the angle iron perimeter railing and it has held up well. The Amazon price was 1/2 the cost of buying the identical item locally. Thanks Amazon!

Great price with easy installation.

Needed a little "field Engineering".

Overall, the tire holder is a good value. My trailer is an angle iron frame tilt trailer. When I mounted the carrier, I could not get a second bolt hole to line up. My trailer is over 15 years old. The 5 hole pattern did not match the carrier. I drilled another hole in the mounting plate, got a longer bolt and life is good.

Hardware too short

The tire rack is strong and sturdy, but the 4" bolts were too short. My trailer bumper is 4" square tube so had to buy 6" bolts. I was able to use the provided lock washers and nuts.

Best for tube rail trailers - a little tricky for angle rail trailers

This is a sturdy item; however, the installation instructions that are included aren't very helpful. I found a YouTube video that helped; however, if you are planning a vertical installation on a utility trailer rail, you may need to get creative to get it installed securely in a full vertical position. You need to figure out where on your trailer you plan to install this prior to ordering it, or it could be a very frustrating afternoon trying to engineer a proper mounting position.

Money well spent

I was able to go from box to completion in around 30 minutes. I did have to move the rack to the side , it interfered with the tongue Jack, ( short tongue ). The move took less than 10 minutes. I did the installation alone, a second person would make holding the parts up to start much easier. The rack is very high quality, and should last for years. Money well spent.

Heavy duty

My trailer has the round pipe rails so I was a little concerned about it staying in place, but they thought of that. Fit well, very sturdy, and no more worries about not having a spare tire with me.

Little support goes a long way

Installed on carry-on 5x8 landscaping trailer. I put on back passenger side above break light. First install tightened very crooked as I figured it would due to my trailer angle iron. I found some 2x2 stop sign pole and put a 6” piece to fill the gap and wham-o .. level, plumb , and secure. I’m sure a block of wood will do fine for this scenario, i just got lucky with the metal i found.
