Does what it is supposed to do

I use these mostly to wrap music cables. But they are super handy elsewhere too. They hold well. They are easy to install. you can wrap them in a way that allows them to remain attached to the cable when not wrapped. I tend to install / wrap them so that the hook surface side if facing inward, and the soft side is exposed. This helps prevent it from getting caught on other things. You get quite a few for a reasonable price. This is the second package of these I have purchased. I'm sometimes reluctant to just throw out five stars, but I can't think of any reason not to. They work. Glad to have them around. Other colors might be cool.

These things are great!

I use them for speaker wire, Cat 5 and Cat6 cable, power cords, telephone cords, adapter cords, extension cords ... I even use them to hold up a rolled-up sheet I use as a background. They have strong adhesion too - that's why I bought the name brand.

Durable, reusable, highly recommend

Make your life simple, get lots of these. Get control over your cords. Everything that has a plug should have one of these jewels. Thread the small end through the hole and snuggle it up against the cord near the end away from the plug prongs. Now you have it and it will not get lost. Use the long tail to wrap around whatever you like and secure it to that base. It does not get old and snap you in the finger like rubber bands. It is always there, available and perfect for keeping things tidy. You will be amazed how many uses you find. I have had the same one on my iron for five years. It works like it did on day one. I bundled clothes hangers together to make outfits for travel even securing a necklace to the hanger. I used one as a pony tail holder. Tons of uses in the garage and garden. I tied all my tomato plants up with them. Hung ID cards on the tomato cages as to the variety and different dates. Craft supplies, Floral arrangements, Sewing supplies, make up brushes not in use, new eyeliner pens are removed from packaging and bundled up as ready replacements. I go through these things fast as so many uses. Incredibly durable. Reusable. My life is so much better since I found these. Sorry Amazon but Home Depot has a better price and higher quantity.

Absolutely fantastic ties

I bought these a while back thinking they'd be useful, but then never got around to using them much because I didn't feel up to delving into the deep depths of my cable/wire maze. Recently however I moved and fell in love with these things. I wrapped up almost every cord/cable/wire in my place and they worked perfectly every time. Even used one at almost full extension (only ~1/2 inch overlap) around the knobs of a cabinet to hold it shut and it didn't even budge. Now as to the mechanics of these ties. It comes in two rolls- one each gray/black. The ties are end to end, with a perforation so that a sharp tug separates them fairly easily. They are each around 8 inches long, with a slightly narrowed (and rounded) tongue at one end and a small ovalish cutout in the material at the other end. The tongue fits through the slit whereupon you can cinch it nice and tight before sticking it down. The velcro is present on the whole length of the tie so you can use it around something as small as a pencil or as big as it will go (quite the lump of cables in my experience), and it will hold just as well. Also due to the velcro being all the way down it, you can wrap the unused tail around and around till it ends and it all sticks - no piece waving off to catch on something. I'm emphasizing this point because I've had velcro straps come with equipment before where the two sides of velcro were only on certain pieces such that you could only use it on a very limited number of sizes - and were usually left with a trailing piece. These are unbelievably better. If you have any cable management issues, you owe it to yourself to buy a pack or two right now!

I use these like some people use duct tape

The great thing about these ties, unlike any other I have found, is the “thin” part. Most hook-and-loop cable ties, even other VELCRO brand ones, use a fairly thick “loop”, which then introduces some wobbliness and bulk to the joint. These have a very thin loop surface — like felt — which allows for a tight, compact layering. This means that if you want to wrap things up with tension — to bundle multiple cables together, or preserve the shape of a neat coil — then these do the job well. And because they're thin, you can wrap the full length several times around a thin bundle and still have a compact tie. If you use the loop in one end to attach the tie to the cable for repeated use, then it isn't going anywhere — the hooks grab the loops so well that it's a bit fiddly to even thread the tie through the hole. I've also used these ties to strap together small objects (where double-sided tape might be an alternative), to block out annoyingly bright LEDs, and other assorted uses. In such applications, one can interlink multiple ties to make a long one, cut off the loop and tab ends if they are unwanted, or even cross them over each other at angles to make net-like structures. I only wish that VELCRO would make the same material also available, not in precut cable-tie form with the loop and tab ends, but in a continuous roll to cut to length. (There are VELCRO ONE-WRAP products in that form, but they are not the “thin” tape.) Note that if you are using them around carpet, cloth, or fur, you will want to use them with the loop side facing out to avoid collecting lint, and all the ties are black on that side — even the ones that are gray on the hook side.

SUPER convenient!

There’s a reason you’re looking for these, and it’s most likely to manage/store your cables. Let me just tell you that they’re absolutely worth it, incredibly convenient, and work super well. I used to buy rolls of knockoff Velcro and cut them to size, but they were just never anywhere near as good quality. These are built to last. They work very well, they stick well when you need them, and the packaging makes it really easy to grab just one. No cutting involved either! They’re perforated and make for an easy cable tie. Buy these. You won’t regret it. They’re inexpensive, they get the job done, and they’ll make your life easier.

Keeping it together

These are perfect for music cables as well as everyday use cables. There is however a bit of an issue with the durability if the ties. All in all a good product to keep all those cables neatly arranged.

Esta tira de velero que viene estratégicamente separada con formas adecuadas es bastante buena. He de decir que soy fan de los cables, por lo que tengo una gran cantidad de ellos, y estas tiras de velcro me han servido increíblemente y seguramente, cuando se me acaben pediría más. You get both grey and black velcro ties in this buy. They work perfectly, long enough to wrap more cord but not so long as to be encumbering with shorter cords. I wish I had bought these first, now I'm switching all my old ones over. Other cord wraps attach to themselves around the cord and leave a hard to wrap section that's double velcro. These don't. They feed through the cut hole to attach to the cord so wrapping is smooth and the grip on the cord when the velcro is unwrapped and you're using the cord stays secure. PERFECT. You also get a lot of them! I keep finding more and more cords in my house that benefit from being wrapped up. I also love that these stay contained and in a roll until you need one. The other cord wraps were each separate and keeping them contained made you use one of the wraps so they weren't all over the place. Son convenient and truly innovative.
