Denne unikke ædelstensklode er helt ny og i perfekt stand. Den er omhyggeligt håndlavet af de mest talentfulde kunstnere ved at bruge mere end 30 forskellige halvædelsten fra hele verden! Denne globus har brugt store mængder lapis sten, der pulveriseres og blandes med en epoxy og hældes for at gøre havet til en del af kloden (det er en meget kompliceret og dyr procedure, præcis kontrol af temperaturen er den mest afgørende faktor i forarbejdningscyklussen ). Dette er en enorm mængde slående og dramatisk håndlavet stenarbejde. Denne globus er bygget med det smukke udsmykkede, tunge sølvstativ, hvori globussen er omhyggeligt monteret. I bunden af stativet er der indbygget et præcist integreret messingkompas med glastop for at komplementere kloden. Hvert land er indlagt af en anden sten, og stenene er individuelt skåret og slebet til krævende sammenlåsende former, poleret og sat ind i dette udsøgte kunstværk med omhu og opmærksomhed på tilstødende. Jordklodens elementer er skabt af lapis lazuli, perlemor, ametyst, afrikansk jade, tigerøje, jaspis, turkis, lilla kvarts, onyx, unakite, abalone, grøn marmor og mange andre smukt farvede og rigt årede sten. Bredde- og længdegradslinjerne er meget tynde bånd af poleret messing, indlejret gennem kloden. Hver globus kræver ti individuelle trin at komponere, og det tager mere end 1500 timers arbejde at gennemføre!

Bought this for my mom for mothers day this year, she absolutely loves it. As many others have said, it's not the most accurate of globes, but it is beautifully made. The stones are nice and the colors are vibrant.

Pretty

This was as expected, very pretty! But the top half has a look of the overcoat or undercoat has ran when wet. It has a milky color to it. I bought from the Amazon warehouse, I'm guessing that's why it was returned. If I'd had paid full price, I'd have returned it also. But for 1/2 price i guess I can't complain. Base is solid, just that milky run look on the top isn't good, but it is pretty.

Would Recommend

Larger than expected .... close to size of a basketball (the globe and stand included). Also note that it does not come in a box in a box. You open the tape and see the foam surrounding the item. So the shipping box IS the packaging. Beautiful globe... yes, worth gifting and worth the money.

Just know what you're getting.

For the cost of the thing, and the description, I was expecting something which I didn't receive. There's a general feel of cheapness about the frame, mine actually arrived slightly bent and the box wasn't damaged, leaving me to suspect it was bent before it was even shipped. Easy enough to fix with sufficient strength, but still not a good sign of things to come as I continued to unwrap it. The countries are inaccurate to an extent which I find to be unacceptable if this piece is to be treated as a functional globe. I grant there's an argument that this globe is more an art of form than that of function, which is why I don't condemn it too harshly, but some of the countries shapes are so abstract that they stretch the generosity of my temperament. The description implies that this is the product of careful, deliberate craftsmanship and it comes off, in person, more as something put together without overmuch pride. I don't want to paint this item as worthless. It is not terrible. It's simply not great. It's good enough as long as you're not expecting something terribly useful. It's alright as long as you don't want something you can stare at and learn anything beyond the most abstract approximation of where the largest countries are and how they relate to one another. It's an overview of what a globe is more than being a globe itself. Get it if you're planning on setting it on a shelf and enjoying the beauty at a distance. Don't get it if you want a globe to enjoy as a globe.

Incredible details

They don’t show up very well in the pictures but the inlays on this globe are so so gorgeous. Different materials for different regions. I was totally not expecting the level of detail in this product. It’s the most beautiful globe for the money by far

The globe is about 9" and pretty useless to use for educational purposes with the kids

My husband bought this for me as a gift because he knew I really wanted a globe.. However, to both of our dismay, the title of the product was misleading and we thought the globe was going to be 13", not the whole thing together. The globe is about 9" and pretty useless to use for educational purposes with the kids. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful. It looks great on my end table in my living room, but I really wanted something that has more detail and accuracy. The frame feels a little cheap, and there are some spots of discoloration on it that I noticed as soon as I took it out of the box. It almost looks like it's going to start peeling. If you want a globe to just sit there and look pretty, then this is a good item. But for any other purpose, I'd go with something else.

Nice Little Globe

A nice little globe, perfect for my small, living room table. It's aesthetically-pleasing, well-made and was superbly-wrapped and packaged for delivery. I've not yet checked to see if it's geographically-accurate but that was not a factor in my decision to purchase this globe. Summarily, I got what I wanted. It more than meets or exceeds my expectations.

This sucks

This globe sucks , it's very general, very generic. Very minimal labeling. No states or provinces are labeled. Not proper shapes of countries etc. Very disappointed

Disappointed

Unfortunately I was disappointed in this product and returned it. When it arrived, the ocean was much more of a royal blue than the deep blue shown. Additionally, the lines of latitude didn’t meet up and were very uneven. Finally, and to top my disappointment, the stones for the countries looked as though they’d been cut by someone unskilled- Each country was uneven and when multiple stones had been used to create countries and continents, there were large uneven gaps between. This was bought as a gift in the full knowledge that it wouldn’t be geographically accurate, however I would have hoped for a far greater overall quality.

Beautiful but not super accurate

Beautiful. Not exactly accurate but close enough for a decorative piece. My whole family loves it.
