Never expected this to be my most used PH jig...

I'm here after buying my 3rd one. I have PH (pocket hole) jigs that are overpriced *Stares at Kreg with distgust*, and some that are large and worth the money *Winks at Massca* but they are limited in function for most applications. However... This small Trend single hole is a great little jig. It's fast, and easy. I use it for quick, temporary, underlying framing and I'm amazed at how well it can work. From ½in plywood, to 4x6 lumber, it can join just about anything I need. Best of all, I decide where the holes go (as long as I have a long enough but... which is really easy to make). So while you may have an overpriced blue PH tool, you might use it a lot less once you try this one. Trend doesn't have as much of their tools as I'd like here in the US, but the ones they do have here, are great!!!

Just the job

Simple to use. Ideal for the casual user that sometimes needs to use pocket holes to join wood. If using regularly, I would have bought the twin jig but this did the job fine.

Love it!

Just arrived today just as I needed it for a job. Used it a few times already and I’m impressed. Never used pocket holes before so it’s my first time using a jig like this. So easy and simple to set up and use. The clamp that comes with it for keeping your wood flush as screw your work pieces together is really handy and works well. Glad I bought this over one of the cheaper models out there. Worth every penny.

Good product crossbar could be a little tighter but does the job

Built 4 cabinets with this. Instructions could be a little clearer if you aren't familiar with these but does the job well. The square drive bit and drill are both decent quality (if not the best) and the square drive fits Kreg pocket hole screws which for some reason were a lot cheaper than anything else I could find. Used in pine, beech, mdf and melamine. Once you get used to how fast you need to go you can reposition using the marks on the tool pretty quickly with a g clamp. MDF has a bit of a tendency to fluff around the hole but a sharp blade sorts that out and you have a neat hole. Good product and good price

Very good for small jobs

It did it's job reasonably well, and you can't argue with the price, but after a couple of holes drilled the heat from the friction started to melt the plastic surround and needed cooling in between holes. I would also recommend a strong clamp to hold it in place, as opposed to regular spring clamps, for the most accurate hole placement

Sturdy

Easy enough to use and sturdily built. Adjusting pillars can be a little fiddly but with more use should become more accurate. Makes for strong joints
