Unfortunately, I didn't realize that a 50W light capacity wouldn't accommodate a 100W bulb, so I returned them and purchased 50W bulbs.

Bulbs keep burning out of $400+ fan

Minka Aire Flyte fan bulb replacement. Worked for a few months then died. On my 2nd now but hopefully it will last longer. UPDATE: 1/22/2013 The 2nd bulb blew within 10 days of installation. I took great care to NOT touch the bulb during installation. The original bulb lasted over 18 months so I don't believe this is a fan electronics issue. This a top tier fan company (Minka Aire) I'll be searching for a better brand alternative. I have 1 bulb left to use in this fan. Thankfully when I built the house I had 4 recessed lights installed in the room that still work compared to this bulb.

I do not recommend these bulbs

Rented a lift and installed these bulbs about 30' in the air on some down lights. Bulbs lasted less than 20 hours and had to have go through the cost of new bulbs, lift and time to replace these bulbs. I do not recommend these bulbs.

Only works with shallow sockets

The porcelain on the base of these is deeper than what I have received in the past and therefore don't connect to the electrical connection. I can't use any of these with my luminaire.

I’d give it zero...waste of money

This thing (can’t call it a light bulb) lasted 2.5 weeks. For real???? What the hell is the point of this thing then? Folks, do NOT buy!
