Perfect replacement

JD GT245 replacement seat fits perfectly. Description of item was detailed enough to try it. As seen in pictures. Only thing that would help is a measurement between the mounting slots.

Fit perfectly

Perfect fit and very easy to put on. So easy even a girl can do it haha. Recommend this as it saves you a ton of money!

Good Replacement Option

The seat is a good replacement option, especially compared to the cost of the OEM option. It is a bit stiff so there were a few times where the tractor died once the brake was released as the sensor hadn't been engaged. It' gotten more pliable with use so that hasn't been a continuous problem. It did take a bit of effort to remove the old seat and add the new one. For reference, my tractor is a GT235 that was built in 2000.

lPerfect fit

Simple to install, looks great

Not really as good as original, but good for the money

So this seat is by the same OEM as my 20 year old seat, different part number, no Deere logo on the back. For the proper tractor (mine is a LX277 with a 40,000 serial number) this is a perfect fit. It took me exactly 4 minutes to exchange seats and two of those minutes were walking back to the house to get a screwdriver to pull off the E-ring clip. The safety switch fits perfectly. The quality however appears nowhere near that of my original. The original has a heavy vinyl thermal formed cover over soft foam. ThIs seat almost appears as if the foam is dipped or sprayed with a vinyl paint. It has some blister like defects of thicker “paint.” Perhaps this is even a second? The foam is much more dense but for my 290lb is actually more comfortable, for a thinner person might be rock hard. Size is exactly the same. The inserted drain tube is too high to drain the last bit of water unlike the formed passage in my original and the color is a bit pale. All that said, the price is MUCH less than half of the current dealer price, and for all I know the dealer may provide this exact same seat today. Do I think this will last for the 15 years my previous seat did before beginning to break down, or the 20 years I’ve pushed it to last. Probably not but if I get five to seven years out of it, it will be a reasonable deal. In my pictures the brackets appear closer together than the OEM but that is a perspective error, the fit is perfect.

Good Replacement

This replaced the seat on my LX280. It is a good replacement in size and installation. The quality of the seat covering is good but not as high as the original. An economical alternative.

Does not Fit a John Deere Tractor as advertised!

Unfortunately. this had to be returned as it wasn't suitable or fitting the John Deere Tractor that I ordered it for . There were no other options available. The seat did not have holes in the bottom of the seat to bolt it to the tractor. It is a very nice looking seat, but not made for this model .

Excellent Replacement Seat

Exactly like the original just no John Deere decal. Bought it so called used, at half the price, and it was in perfect condition and was just re-packaged.
