Nice bag, bad material

My order arrived next day, so that was awesome. Overall the bag is sturdy and is exactly as described, but there were a lot of water stains on the front flap of the bag I was sent. Which indicates to me that the material of the bag will not hold up very well if I should get caught in the rain.

Sturdy, classy great for travel

My husband needed a new bag. We looked everywhere. I looked at his old bag and found the logo for Solo. It's just like the old one and he's really happy with it.

wish sleeve in the folding flap was deeper. other than that, good bag. like that shoulder strap is removeable in case i wear out the strap or find an uncomfortable strap.

This is a better model than the P2T

I got this after going through three of the Solo P2T-10/4 bags. This is a better model than the P2T. The P2T strap clips on and can be removed, while this NY10/4 bag's strap is sewn on, which some reviewers have said is a detraction, but I find it's exactly the opposite. When heavily loaded, the clips would slip and detach on the P2T bag, potentially damaging an expensive laptop computer in a fall, where this NY bag's strap stays put. Decide if you want a strap or not. If you do, get this bag. If you don't, get this bag and cut the strap off. the bag has fewer compartments than the P2T bag, but I don't find that to be a problem, it's just fewer places I have to search to find a lost flash drive! The padded removable laptop sleeve is great. For the longest time, the zipper at the bottom of the pocket on the back really bothered me, because I'd put things in that pocket, and the zipper would work itself into an open position, potentially losing my stuff. I couldn't figure out why they put a zipper at the bottom of the pocket; but another reviewer here explained that it's so you can slip your messenger bag over the handle of your pull-style luggage. That's pretty brilliant, but don't use the outside pocket for small things! The main central opening does not have a zipper to close it. The closed flap of the messenger bag is the only thing closing off the main bag compartment, so it's not completely sealed. If you put small things in the main compartment, they can spill out. But this bag has also already outlasted all of the P2T bags I've owned, so this one is definitely sturdier.

Quality Solo bag

Excellent, spacious and expandable bag. Very lightweight, durable and the outside zippered pocket on the front is great for travel documents or easy access items. The only downside that I have so far is the shoulder strap pad twists and turns which can irritate you shoulder and be big pain when traveling. Need to update that design.

Very durable material. I use it to carry heavy things like my laptop and its charger. The shoulder strap is very resistant, exactly what I was looking for. Got it for 3 months now and looks like new. The net pocket got a little loose though.

Just what I wanted!

I travel 3 weeks/month. I have been looking for ever for something to hold all my TSA items, so I only have to open one thing at the checkpoint. This seems to be it! I can pack my ResMed Airsense 10 CPAP, hose, power, my 13" MacBook Air, my work laptop, my TSA liquids, and my chargers in this. With one quick snap, I can take out the laptops, CPAP, and my TSA 3-1-1 items! AND it comes with a five year warranty. P.S. I didn't need to open the expandable zipper either.

Decent bag, but the strap needs improvement

I've been using this bag daily for 2 years now. Overall, the bag is great. However, I've had two issues with the strap. The buckles where the strap attaches to the bag continuously flip vertical instead of staying horizontal and the shoulder pad constantly inverts (sits with the pad pointing up to the sky rather than staying against my shoulder. If it weren't for these two issues, this would have been a 5-star review.
