Adds more protection

Super huge, wish they were adhesive

They absorbed, but they were HUGE. Way longer than the other doubler I'd tried You know what these would be amazing for?? Postpartum! Seriously, it's been three, years, but I feel these would maybe be an ideal size. Not sure if they absorb fluids other than urine well, so that may be something to consider. Otherwise we didn't care for these being non adhesive, just personal preference. They never shifted, but they also didn't stick to the overnight diaper at removal, which meant we were picking a giant pee-soaked doubler off a munchkin. Not horrible all things considered, but there are so few things I think of as luxuries nowadays... Not having to pick up a urine soaked doubler first thing in the morning if I don't have to its one of them. Yay, momlife.

Works well for our needs

So I use cloth diapers pretty much exclusively. When I buy products I look at how much they can hold. My 8 month old can pee about 16 ounces every two hours on average and up to 40 ounces overnight. I put him in two doubled Birdseye cotton flats (about 16 ounces) during the day and use bamboo and hemp inserts combined for naps. Nap time is another story for another day. When I use disposables out and about I like to pair this product with one sposie doubler - that holds up to 8 ounces but is cheaper than this product. This large one does seem to go up to 16 ounces like stated. It gives me peace of mind to keep him contained. So I use this product paired with another disposable booster but it really works. The cloth diaper cover holds in poo better than disposables so less clothing changes overall too. I see this is a newer product so I hope this helps people reading. It works as intended basically. ( plus - I use best bottom covers with disposable inserts - very trim!)

Don't work

I really wanted to like these since I love their covers but these were a MAJOR FAIL! First red flag was the box actually says if theirs any small gel beads after wearing to simply wipe away with wet wipe which clearly means this is normal. After wearing the diaper there will be tiny little white beads on baby! And if you shake the insert you actually hear the little beads shaking around. And say you actually don't let that bother you they still don't actually work. The cover is wet even after changing within the 2 hours and possibly just 1 pee since it wasn't even completely saturated. I think the insert is too narrow making it bunch so all the urine doesn't actually get absorbed. So with a dress it could be okay at home but if the cover ends up soiled on the outside it defeats the whole system. Wish I could return but ill deal and use them up. Like the idea but the disposable inserts need major improvement. Glad I tried before actually going on vacation.

Excellent for doggy bands

These are made for human baby diapers, but they are excellent for extra protection when used inside senior dog pee bands. Over the years we've used pee bands for each of our senior dogs as they've become necessary. We have used diapers to help prevent leaks since the absorbing qualities of the bands aren't always the best, especially with larger dogs who can wee out major quantities. The trouble with regular diapers is having to trim them down to just the main part - no elastic, no waistband, no velcro fasteners. If we cut too close when cutting off the elastic part, it can cut an opening into the protective covering over the absorbent material which allows the gel material to smoosh out when it gets wet. On the other hand, these inserts are ready to use. We can swap them out of the pee bands in seconds without spending half an hour or more trimming up a pack of diapers. They hold a LOT of liquid, and often the pee band fabric isn't even wet so we are able to simply replace the absorbent insert. Since these inserts are meant for use in reusable diapers, wetness is quickly absorbed and kept away from skin. No wetness is held against skin causing it to break down and a rash develop. It's also easier to double up on the inserts as unlike diapers which the back protective plastic lining (that keeps the backside of commercial disposable diapers dry) which blocks the liquid from being absorbed by the second layer or the material of the band itself. Cost-wise these are more expensive than a comparable pack of diapers, but the ease of use and outstanding absorbency helps defray the difference. There are cheaper options, such as $10 for a pack of 30, but those usually max out at holding only 8oz to 12 oz of liquid. These often come with adhesive backing as well, and maybe that helps when inserts like this are used in plastic reusable diapers, but not in pee bands. If the material of the pee bands gets wet, it makes removing the sticky strip of the liner a gross messy job. The adhesive isn't needed to keep the inserts in place in the bands, so why bother with it? For us, these inserts are perfect as is.

Works in disposable diapers too!

I got these to use in my son’s disposable night diapers. We normally use Sposie pads, but they’re not very long. Now that my son is 2 and wears size 6 or 7 diapers, he’s had some issues with leaking…mainly because he has so much output at night now. ???? Our trusty Hello Bello Overnights leak after about 6 hours. Sposie pads are great, but these looked promising since they absorb an additional 16 oz (whereas Sposie pads absorb 8 oz). I think the biggest difference is they're about twice as big. They’re really soft and fit exactly the length of a size 6 diaper! There’s not an adhesive backing, so you just lay it inside. We haven’t had any issues with them sliding around or poking through his diaper. My only complaint is the packaging. Instead of coming in a plastic bag like Sposie pads or other diapers, these come in a very large cardboard box with an awkward opening on the longest side. It’s very big and bulky, and hard to store. Kudos to being recyclable though! I highly recommend these for cloth or disposable diapers! Just know that these run really big… I’m not sure these would fit inside a size 3-4 disposable diaper.
