Rid-X Necessary

I would like to be able to purchase Rid-X in single doses for a better price. It is available but it is too expensive. It would be so much easier to just pour out an entire bottle rather than trying to stop pouring at the line on the bottle. And why on earth did they make the bottle such a dark color, about the same color as the product! I find it difficult albeit not impossible obviously to discern where the liquid is in the bottle in relation to the line on the outside of the bottle. It is just tough to see since the liquid and the bottle are a similar color. Also, I am wondering if the liquid works as well as the powder. I like the liquid better usage-wise because the powder is messy as it 'poofs up' powder dust when you pour it in the toilet, no matter how careful you are. But the liquid version does not seem to work as well for as long a period of time in our experience. In fact the last time we had to have our septic tank cleaned out it had only lasted about two years from the previous cleaning. We were told a crust had formed inside the septic tank, so the toilet paper eventually got stuck in the pipe going from the house to the septic tank. Eventually we had backup in our bathroom into the tub and the toilet overflowed. A super bad mess beyond belief!!

Used to fill my Bio-Charge dispenser

Seems to work well, I bought this to refill my Bio-Charge for my ISE garbage disposal unit. The liquid looks the same as what originally comes in the Bio-charge. It has a different smell however, maybe a slight mint smell as compared to the slight citrus smell from the Bio-charge. Anyway, I can't imagine that the enzymes and bacteria are much different or revolutionary when you compare the two products. A 24oz bottle will fill the Bio-charge almost twice, not too bad for saving a few dollars.

Advised by the gentleman who put in our septic tank to use this product

We built our house in 2001. The company that put our septic tank was and is well known in or area. My husband and I were working a lot that year. We were trying to check on the house daily. I happened to be there when our tank was being put in. The gentleman who owned the company (and worked daily putting in tanks) said "If ya`ll use rid-x once a month you won`t never see me." So far so good. Good for families, put you got to use it. He also told me to use Northern TP which is septic safe. Make sure you get the correct northern there are several kinds.

Great product

Have been using Rid-x for many,many years. It eats up paper in your septic system without any harsh chemicals. I don't use it monthly like recommended on the bottle for my plumber says it's better not to over due. I do use it occasionally, and in 33 years I have only had to have my cesspool pumped only once. In this era of anti-bacterial soaps Rid-x puts the good bacteria back in you septic system. I highly recommend this product. An one more thing although my children are grown and gone now this system was once used by a family of 5 so Rid-x kept up with our use.

Worked in a day! Pump went from failing to working perfectly.

This product saved us a bundle. We experienced our first major septic clog up, that required a visit from an expensive septic service. Thinking we didn’t want to pay this amount again, we researched some alternatives should a clog up happen again. We decided to take a chance on this product and ordered it. It was now almost 6 months since our costly septic service, and our pump was sounding “off” again. It sounded like it was working too hard and straining again. We flushed 1/3 bottle (as directed) down the toilet. Amazingly the product took a day to work, and our septic pump ran freely. We are very happy with this product.

Preventive maintenance

My septic tanks are fairly new. My old ones had issues before I replaced them. I feel that it was time to make sure that I won't have issues again. As I am one person at home, I'm using RID-X every 2 months which should be fine.
