Love them

I had wrist surgery and used these every time I went to physical therapy. I’m so happy I was able to find these after being discharged. You don’t realize how often you need to pinch things until you can no longer do it. These have definitely helped and I’m happy I can continue to help myself.

Smooth & slippery plastic

I bought this set to aid in strengthening my thumb post-surgery. They seem to work well, with one exception: The plastic is completely smooth, so it’s hard to keep thumb & finger in place to grip. I ordered Dragon Grips and applied two little hexagon grips on each side. Problem solved. These would be 5-star if there was a textured grip (without having to buy another product to fix).

SEE MY OTHER COMMENTS UNDER SAMMONS PUTTY, THE SET OF SPONGES -- THESE VARY IN RESISTANCE. DON'T THINK THEY ARE FOR SISSIES AS MY GROWN NEPHEW ADMITTED THEY WERE VERY HARD TO SQUEEZE (HE'S IN CONSTRUCTION, HAS EXTREMELY STRONG HANDS). IF YOU NEED SOMETHING TO WORK YOUR FINGERS, AND YOUR THERAPIST RECOMMENDS THEM, THEN GET A SET. DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU CAN ONLY SQUEEZE THE 1 AND 2-LB CLIPS. THE 4-LB CLIP IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SQUEEZE. DO NOT USE IF YOUR THERAPIST HAS NOT RECOMMENDED THESE BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO REINJURE YOUR HAND OR MESS UP THE RANGE OF MOTION OR STRENGTH THAT BOTH YOU & THE THERAPIST HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO ATTAIN. RECOMMEND USING *ONLY* IF THERAPIST ADVISES AND AGREES ON THESE!!

Pinch Pins

I was introduced to the Pinch Pins at my Hand Therapy session. I had broken my thumb and after two surgeries had to regain the use of the tip of my thumb, the only part that I had use of. They are great, in my opinion. The pins are colored and each colored pin has a different resistance going from minimal resistance to start with to one with maximum resistance. The "Pinch Pins" helped me to regain the use of my thumb and as I progressed through the different colors let me know how I was doing. Personally I'd never know about the pins if I hadn't been shown by the Therapist.

My OT patients have a hard time maintaining the grip.

It's a good product overall but a little rubber on the gripping point would have been great.

Good for hand therapy

I bought these to use for my patients in hand therapy. Each color has a different resistance and there’s so many exercises you can do!

Slippery

These are great for finger strengthening. The varying resistance of each clip makes it easy to gradually increase exercise. The only thing I didn’t like is the grip. They are smooth plastic and can fly from your hands easily. Wrapping each grip in tape helps keep ahold of them.

These are therapy to acquire strength on my right hand...received an incomplete set

My only set back was that I purchased 7 pieces and only received 5 pieces. Told to wait for the pieces to arrived and until today I haven’t received them. I have been purchasing items to get the function as best possible on my hands.
