Smaller than expected

It is 8 x 12 but there is a slope all the way around, so the flat part of the platter is smaller than i was thinking. It will still work for some things, i got it for a great price, love the color. It is glazed so nice and shiny, i hope it doesn't chip easily... It came well packaged, which i was partly concerned about, so it made it here in one piece, time will tell how it stands up to use and washing, etc.

Perfect all around -

Love the platter and color, and price too when it was on sale !!! It shipped fast and was securely packaged, to arrive in perfect condition (unlike some other items I ordered on Amazon). This serving platter can be used for anything, although I bought it specifically to use as a cake platter for homemade loaf cakes and it is the perfect size for that. However, you can use it for whatever you want to present your "yummies" in an appetizing manner .... grilled veggies, appetizers, wraps, chicken wings (for those who indulge), basically anything edible. Since I enjoy setting a proper table for our daily family dinner meals, I will find plenty of uses for the platter. Plopping pots and pans on the table for dinner is not a cozy setting and I rather present dinner as special meal (especially if I cook something not everyone likes). Yes, there are lots of extra dishes to clean up, but well worth the extra work at the end of a busy (and sometimes frustrating) day, spending dinnertime together in comfort with your loved ones.

Pretty

I bought 2 of them to visually jazz up plain boring meals for my husband and me - like a sandwich and chips. There would be room on the plate for a scoop of potato salad and/or some vegetables too. Or for making a plate of all white food - like chicken and dumplings, potatoes or noodles, or biscuits and cauliflower - seem like you did it on purpose. The Amazon description says "Oven safe to 250 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 30 minutes, the serving platter is also microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe" The back of the item says "microwave and dishwasher safe. Made in China". I've put them thru the dishwasher with no problem but I haven't put them in the microwave or oven.

I got this thinking it was larger but I honestly love this size. Works great for a small cheese tray or serving dish. Nice color too.

Way smaller then it looks Thick rim around so definetly dimensions stated isnt what space you have to plate food on

This platter is not a bright red, but rather a Barcelona red. Perfect size for appetizers!!

nice Platter...pay attention to size in description

I have 2 sets of the beige Rachel Ray dinnerware and on a whim thought I’d get something that didn’t match (red) but is still same design. The price was right and the platter looks great.

Looks great but too small

The product is very nice and durable, however, the issue is that it is too small. I was looking for an actual platter and thought this would fit the bill but it hasn't.
