Accurate product description

I hesitated to order these Tee Nuts because the picture supplied with them was of a short Tee Nut instead of the actual product in the description. I received them and was relieved that they are as advertised, not as pictured. They are sturdy, and I have already installed some on the recliner swivels that I am currently fabricating. I just wish that the pictures of products would match the actual product that they are supposed to represent. The nut is 5/16 -18 x 11/16 long.

works with hardwood

I feel pretty confident in this T-nut but I have only used it once. I hammered one into Black Walnut, a pretty hard wood and it worked fine. My only caveat is to drive it into a thick enough and wide enough piece of wood or it might split the wood. It might be wise to cut the wood down to smaller size AFTER driving in the nut to prevent splitting.

They performed as needed

The hardware with the bolts attached the door to the frame and made the bolts flush. Exactly what I was looking for! Worked as planned.

These work as they are supposed to. What else is there to say. I am making woodworking jigs with wood knobs that thread into these Tee Nuts.

Is what it is

Is what it is but some of the threads are weak and if you even slightly thread the bolt at the wrong angle, you can no longer use the Tee Nut. Cheaper than a hardware store though, by a lot.
