Good for most foods

This works fairly well, but struggles with a few foods, mostly meats. The grinding "blade" is just a bar, not sharp at all, so it can't cut through and the end product comes out a bit gummy. Works great on fruit and vegetables though.

Nice baby food grinder

This is a nice product. It’s grinds quickly and easily - a bit finer than a previous grinder that I had. My only complaint is that when finding something with a lot of liquid, i.e Chicken and Rice Soup - it leaks a bit from the bottom. Make sure you grind on top of a plate with items that contain a lot of extra liquid.

Great for grinding up harder canned cat food for my old kitty with digestive issues/no teeth.

It is a bit of a work to clean, (no dishwasher), but there are no hidden spots to collect food. It ends up nice and clean each time. I know this is for children, but it works great on the harder forms of canned cat food that my kitty loves, but couldn’t digest. Saves me several hours a day. Use with a small rubber spatula to get all the good stuff out.

Works so well.

I've been using this for about 2 months now. My 10-month-old daughter decided in the last 2 months that she likes food particularly our food. Every morning I mill up Yukon golds, sweet potato, eggs, and avocado. It's really easy to use just mix bits of your meals and mill them up for the baby. Any hard root vegetable needs to be cooked just past al dente to ensure a good mill. I've used the mill on pulled pork, brisket, and pot roast, and chicken. The one tip I would recommend with meat is to give it a rough chop and make sure it hot if not at the very least warm, this will make it much easier to mill. As it is lent we took this with us to a fish fry and milled up some fish, fries and cole slaw right there at the table. The thing to know when purchasing this item is that it can be a little difficult to clean. It is far easier to clean right away than letting it sit, You will probably use the spray nozzle on your sink to make sure all of the nooks and crannies are sprayed out. Lastly, use a sponge or dish clothe to clean this out as a bottle brush will leave the plastic feeling greasy especially if you are milling anything up that has any oil and fat in it.

Essential item for starting solids

This little masher is an essential kitchen item with babies starting on solids. So easy to use and clean. It mashes food perfectly and helps get baby eating whatever is at the dinner table . Nice and small so it's portable for outings. Couldn't love this item more.

Ok but leaves denser material behind

It works ok, but i found it leaves thicker denser material in the base of the unit, compressed, and is unable to grind it up. You end up with the softest, more liquid part of the item(s) being processed while everything else is dense mush at the bottom.

Function

Thought the bottom had a sharp blade component that actually ground up the food, but it more or less mushed it and squeezed all the fluid out of it oftentimes leaving a layer of the un-mashed food at the bottom.

Not good for small amounts

My blender and food processor struggle with small amounts so I bought this. It also struggles with small amounts. It leaves behind a lot of good food wasted on the bottom.... Just smashed, not blended.

Not entirely useful.

I’ve been using this about 3 months. It’s great for mashing up soft foods (banana, avocado), not so great for meats or stringy food. Even strawberries require a lot of effort and don’t fully get mashed. I have not been able to grind meats. The design isn’t so bad, but I find a lot of food escapes the cup and leaks from the top as you’re grinding. I also wish more of this thing was made of metal. I feel like the part you spin will break at some point soon, the plastic bends while using.

Bueno para papilla sencillas, fácil de llevar. Un poco complicado de lavar. No tritura carnes solo frutas y verduras muy suaves. Útil si no quieres sacar el procesador de alimentos...

great mill

Just a fantastic little mill. You have your food and your baby will have the same healthy food as well. We tried cooking carrots and mashing them but they were still lumpy. With the mill you have perfectly mashed carrots. Excellent!!!
