NOTE: Must be welded!

This item must be welded into place. There is no provision for screwing or bolting this item on to your trailer. Otherwise, its heavy duty and ideal. Its design and construction is superb and built for life....because it better last that long. There is no provision for taking it off and changing the bulb or repairing damage.

Trailer lights are the BEST!!!!!!

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this product and welded it to the trailer, wiring was easy to do. Fantastic!

Great lights but you will need to know a few things

These are a great replacement for the standard plastic ones that break every time I bump into them. However, they don't come with license plate lights. I bought a pair of led lights that replace the license plate mounting bolts. They cost me $7 and work perfectly. These trailer light assemblies are shipped with the lights already installed in the boxes. You will want to remove them to drill mounting holes or to weld them in place. There are no instructions for light removal. It's easy but counterintuitive. Push the light into the hole, then pull it back through the hole sideways. Careful to push at the edges of the lense where it is strongest. You might need to peel back the edge of the gasket a little to help get it to slip through the hole. Follow the printed instructions later for install. Also, get some 3/4 inch grommets to line the wiring holes. Drill your mounting holes and a small hole in the bottom of the box to let water drain out. Best to mount the box, install grommet and light gaskets, pull the trailer wires into the box, make all connections to lights inside the box with lights hanging loose and wires running through gasket lined holes, don't forget to run your license plate light wires into the box too, and then pop the lights in. This gives a clean, protected termination.

fun to mount

oh the fun I had mounting these, the big hole on the side is pretty useless. I ended up having to drill additional holes to mount these.

Sturdy and good value for the price.

I bought these to add additional rear lights for my flatbed even thoughthey are intended for use on a trailer. They work great and function as shown in product description. They work as taillight, brake light & parking lights. They only come with one access hole on the end for wiring or mounting. I wanted a custom mounting so I drilled additional mounting holes on the back as well as a larger hole for the wires (pictured). I added the rubber grommets, they do not come with these. Once wired and tested I was very pleased. They are bright and provide additional safety for my rig. They are well made and robust. The led lights, both the round and oval are standard sizes available at most hardware/truck/trailer supply stores if replacement should be needed. I am very pleased with these and highly recommend them.
