THESE LIL SUCKERS ARE BRIGHT!!!

These lights arrived in a very timely fashion... they were well packed and showed no damage to the box. The instructions were easy to follow and installed in about 30 mins. Since I had previously wired in a different set of lights, (LED strip light units, that mount where your license plate attaches to the car... I had installed two of them. One above and one below the tag for the purpose of safe, night time backing up). Btw, if you're considering these units, don't waste your time/$$! They claimed to be waterproof, etc, etc... (spoiler alert- they're NOT!!!) They lasted about a year... A couple of weeks ago, I backed up in front of a glass storefront where I could see the reflection in my rearview mirror. Of the 24 "super bright XENON LED lights", one set was approx 50% lit, and the other? About 25% lit after just 1 year! (and I'm not sure how long I rode around like that!) On this unit, however, they are easily 2-3 times the brightness/range of those strip lights!! Since I just installed them, my review is somewhat incomplete... I gave them the highest 5 star rating in everything, except durability.... (only 3 stars so far, as time will tell, (with the durability of them). But I have a much better sense of quality with these than I did the orig ones, which I scrapped). Whew! that was a mouth-full! I chose to not buy the extra wiring kit with a dash mounted switch, (which I guess would be handy if you wanted them for say, camping purposes, setting up your site in the dark). I had some appropriate wire on hand, which I used to wire them directly into the backup light circuit of the vehicle. ANYWAY!! So far I am THRILLED in all aspects of this product, save for the durability...( which, I hope I'll remember to update the reliability factor in say, 6 mos. or so). Good luck with yours!! CHEERS!!!

Lights good

The 60 watt lights are great but the mounting bar that fits over the receiver does not work as good for me.. It will not fit on the truck because the bumper is to close to the receiver.. So the next problem that I found trying to mount the bar is the saftey chain for a trailer,,, looks as if it would break the lights,, So if your thinking about this type of mount,, look out for the trailer saftey chains hook up that will be very close to your lights when you turn sharp!!! but the quality of the set up is nice ,, just didn't work for me,, will drill a hole to mount the light away from the hitch.

Great! Doesn't fit on a modern ram 1500

Bought for My 2011 ram 1500 i bought that already had dark tinted windows so I could see at night. Tried to install but the frame is too thick and wouldn't fit. One final comment is when the included lights are mounted the wire goes down into the light housing which is a great channel for water. Most people know to include a drip loop but who wants random wire hanging down where the lights are? Not a great design for this application but I'll keep it and gift it to someone who doesn't have a ram.

Good value, not very bright

The price was great. Easy to install, solid hardware that looks like it’ll hold up quite well. Downside is that these are nowhere near as bright as I’d hope they would be. I’d consider purchasing just the trailer hitch mount if available. If the lights were a little brighter I’d give it five stars.

Doesn’t fit 2001 Ford Expedition.

I had to Install these backwards to fit on the trailer receiver.they also didn’t have clearance to mount on top of the bracket. So I notched out the steel bumper and the plastic step plate, haha idgaf. Also if you do this,, use threadlocker on the bolts and superglue on the bracket to the trailer receiver.

Better know how to fabricate metal.

The light it self is great and just what I needed for the back of my plow truck for lots of light in reverse backing up. The brackets that go around the trailer hitch do not just come out of the box and fit at all. I had to use my grinder on the receiver and also the bracket to widen the fit. What should have been a 30 minute job lasted 3 hours. Have an angle grinder and a good bench vise and a couple of hefty c- clamps to custom make the opening and fit your rigs hitch receiver. My truck is a 2016 Chevy double cab that I use for my personal plow truck on my property. When wiring to have reverse lights, tap into the backside of your factory installed 7 way adapter and Tee your wire into the white for your negative feed and my reverse wire on my truck was a light gray with a thin green stripe. Over all everything works great and the two lights are nice and bright. No more backing up into things while plowing in the dark. . n

Solved the problem.

Easy to install and wire into my reverse light. Only issues are you have to be careful parking because the lights hang low and could be damaged and the design does make it difficult to install the safety pin on the trailor mount.

It works! With work

Not the easiest to mount, had to grind off a good chunk to make fit between hitch receiver and bumper, then mount upside down. If comfortable with tools it’s not difficult, but not quite a bolt on product for me. Lights are very bright, good value 4 $$. Very good experience with nilight products in the past. Rear lighting also took significantly more wiring length than expected to run along the factory conduit, so have lots on hand!

fits a 2 inch truck receiver typical class III hitch so it's 2 1/5 inches ID.

The description seemed a bit Vague. It fits on the truck receiver for a 2 inch square "ball-mount".

Check your hitch for room

Easy to install, great light for price. Bracket did not work for my 2021 ram. Hitch configuration was an issue. Was able to mount lights at the corners under the bumper which is even more ideal for the back up camera.
