This is a very heavy and solid handle. Nothing like a towel bar. You can swing off these.

I DID NOT REALIZE SCREWS SHOW. INSTALLED AS THE QUALITY IS VERY GOOD. THE SIZE AND PRICE WAS GREAT.

Nice "Hand Grip"

As noted, this is called a Hand Grip, not a Grab Bar. It come with 6 2-1/2 screws and installation instructions. Needed are: 1/8" drill bit and drill motor a Philips screw driver a a stud finder. The instructions state that this bar will hold 250 pounds with at least 2 screws at each end. The instructions are clear as to how the bar is to be installed! If installing into the long face of a 2x4 stud, All 6 screws can be used. Otherwise use 4 screws on the side of the 2x4. "Follow the Instructions"... It helps to use a fastener lubricant like "Akempucky" but Amazon can supply "Fastener Lubricant under another name. The fastener lubricant will prevent screw damage when driving into a hard fir 2x4. Removing a broken screw is not fun...

Great for a workout bar

I bought 2 of these and installed them on my ceiling. I use them as hand holds for working out--pull-ups, leg lifts, etc. If I put my full weight on one (I'm almost 200 lbs), I can hear the stud creak and crack and it makes me afraid the screw will pull out if I'm rough with it. But if I distribute my weight between them it feels perfectly safe. !!! Disclaimer: these are not advertised for what I'm using them for!!! But the fact that they can stand up to it tells me that it's more than sufficient for its advertised purpose.

A secure, easy to grip grab bar.

I bought these to be installed in my bathroom for post-surgery hand grips. My son-in-law had both installed in less than 10 minutes. They are working great for the use intended. The metal is smooth, with a soft feel. Once installed, they feel very secure to grab onto. I would recommend these to anyone needing extra safety hand grips anywhere in their living spaces.

Almost Perfect

I wanted something to hold onto while getting in and out of a tub/shower combo but didn’t need a big ole grab bar. This product looked (and is) perfect for my use. It’s small, unobtrusive design is just right. Loses a star because the bar color is off. It has a slightly yellow tinge. The wall brackets, on the other hand, are true chrome color. I didn’t notice this until it was installed.

Perfect size and weight for a hand-grip in the bathroom, dislike two-tone finish.

The bar itself has a slightly different finish colour than the chrome brackets that hold it. This is visually unpleasant but does not affect the safety or use of this product, therefore four stars instead of five. I expected it to match my other Moen all-chrome bathroom products and was disappointed in the two-tone finish that was not addressed in the product description.
