Robust

I've had this installed for about a month and so far, it's been a great addition to my home shop. I'm still getting used to the hose catches/detents, but very happy with the versatility and mounting/orientation options and overall quality - feels very robust and suitable for all home and light commercial applications. Everything that I was hoping for.

Hose is crap

I like the reel and would give 5 stars, but it comes with a worthless hose. The hose is full of pinholes. Never seen such a poor product out of the box! They should give you a free hose with this!

Heavy duty item bigger than it looks.

Works as advertised. Enough room on spool to add 25 ft. Of more hose. You can mount a door hinge to it and the wall for added function and ease of pulling&retraction.

Exact Fitment

Purchased these 2 reels to replace 2 existing reels in our shop, of the same name/brand that was having problems retracting. They were over 13 years old but with the use that they get probably were aged a little bit more. These units were exact replacements so installing them was just a matter of removing the old and putting up the new. They came shortly after ordering and that made the mechanic extremely happy. Great product as well! Hope to get the same or more years of use out of these.

Plastic ratchet mechanism failed after light use

After being used twice per week for six months, the plastic pawl in the ratchet mechanism snapped, rendering this hose reel nearly useless. Spare parts are not trivial to find. This thing is really heavy, but it isn't necessarily well-made. For nearly the same money (and some digging), you can source a legitimately high-quality, USA-made hose reel, made by a company that provides real after-sales support.

Can't believe it dosen't cost more

This thing is a beast. Well made, no problems, looks and feels high quality. I have had now for 2 years with no issues. Be aware it weighs a metric ton when you go to hang it. Also, don't forget to buy a short air line to go from the compressor to the reel. This unit is a great buy though. You will be happy. If only I could find an electric reel this good for similar cost.
