OEM - fits like a glove

Needed to replace this part on my Kenmore Elite 796.41073310 Washer and wanted to stay with an OEM part - fits like a glove.

Perfect

Ordered this and the spring tool; as I was not about to pay $400+ for this repair. Yes, letting the gasket get super-gross is user-error; and man, was ours gross! I'm relatively handy and after watching youtube videos several times, I spent about an hour replacing the old gasket. This fits perfectly and gave new life to our $1200 machine. Now we know the maintenance routine...wipe gasket and door down with cloth, leave washer and detergent doors open, use primarily powder detergent. Our washer should last another 10 years now that the smell and mold are completely gone!

Perfect fit on Kenmore Elite Model 796.41073310. Stopped the Leak!

Seems like better quality than the one that came with the Kenmore Elite front loading washer. There are good installation videos online, but I didn't find any that showed that the front and rear springs were the worst part of the install. What worked best was using a needlenose pliers in each hand to stretch the spring and move it into place. It was easiest to do this cross-armed, that is with the right hand pliers gripping the left end of the spring and the left hand pliers gripping the right end. It was much easier to push crossways than to try to pull the springs open.

Good-bye moldy seal

Just what we needed. Perfect match. Having the snap ring removal tool is a must for easy installation.

Difficult

Traps mildew. Relatively easy to get out. There are two expensive tools to use in getting old one out and new one in. Got the babk w i re that holds it in place. Gave up one the front one after a week. Got it done professionally. There are many fragile expensive parts. Watched the U-tube videos in detail. Two person job at least. Either get the extended warrenty or pay a professional. It took him an hour.

Perfect fit work

Make sure you find the correct part this one was perfect fit for my washer.

Works awesome. No more wet floors. Same quality as original.

So much cheaper then local suppliers. Also much cheaper replacing this myself. Took my father and I about an hour start to finish. We had some good vice grip plyers and together we manager to get the spring back on (that's by far the hardest part)
