Great nail files!

Okay, yes, they are nail files. But trust me, there are some really crappy ones out there that don't last that long. These have been great and I get a lot of use out of each file. When they become unusable for my nails, I use them on other odds & ends for light filing. Do I recommend them and would I buy them again? YES!!!

Been using these for years

I have been using these Revlon emery boards for many years. I have found them harder to find locally. I was so pleased when these popped up on my screen. I wasn't even looking for them. They fit my small hands perfectly. I've used the longer ones in the past and found I wasn't using the ends. The grits on each side take care of my rather soft nails without tearing. Perfect for me.

Keeps you in ship shape.

Revlon is a very good name in cosmetics. I have used these files for a very long time, they hold up to multiple used and keep their shape. I would recommend them to anyone.

Best emery boards

It's a shame that these came off general sale in the UK years ago, and now Revlon only make these 4.75" (12cm) Compact emery boards, an inch shorter than the originals. However, there's something about them that do a much better job than any others I can find so it's great to find this mini-bulk buy which will last a very long time!

They work

Someone stole my makeup bag a few weeks ago and I can't find a replacement for the fancier 4 sided nail board I had anywhere. But I needed something to smooth my thumb nail Now, and local stores were no help. I'm glad I thought to look on Amazon, and my nail is okay now so my anxiety level has dropped. I had an accident with my thumb about 3 years ago (almost lost the nail totally), and the nail now grows out with a couple of weird ridges from base to tip. If I don't smooth out those ridges flat every few weeks (my nails grow slowly), one ridge in particular gets higher and then starts to crack open top to bottom. I can't stand that level of pain, so when I say I need to smooth my thumb nail Now (after weeks of trying to ignore it while trying to find emery boards like the ones that were stolen), I mean it! These disposable, less expensive emery boards saved my thumb nail, prevented it from splitting and getting infected, lowered my stress level, and saved me so much grief. They work, even if they don't do the finer buffing fancier boards offer. Sometimes basic, no frills saves the day :)

They are as described

I used to buy an emery board from a local beauty supply store that was exactly what I wanted. Rough on one side for filing nails and smooth on the other for smoothing tips and little nicks. I have been trying to find something like them since they were discontinued but no luck. They claimed to do that, but were inferior in every way. These Revlon emery boards do exactly what I want. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they are very small and I don't know how long they'll last.

I thought these were two sided. They're also extremely coarse.
