Confusing Instructions

I have to agree with reviews from frustrated consumers! I also had similar issues with locating descaling instructions on the bottle, unclear and poorly written instructions and the descaling light that continually blinked. Finally, it occurred to me! The instructions on the bottle significantly differed from the Quick Start Guide (QSG) included with the Keurig. Follow the Descaling Procedure on the QSG!!! Step 2 specifically states "press and hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons together for 3 seconds . . . " There is no mention of this on the bottle! Continue with Step 3 on the QSG and the descale light will turn off!!! To those Keurig Corporate Executives reading this review, I would appreciate the opportunity to work with your company. As a Business Analyst, I have the ability to analyze customer needs and implement practical solutions.

It fixed my Keurig!

For the last couple of weeks, my Keurig has been leaking and/or dispensing extra liquid after a brew. I’ve had this Keurig for about 2 years and I’m embarrassed to say it, but I had never cleaned it—mostly due to the fact that I usually run empty cycles for hot water, so I didn’t think it needed it. I guess all the water build-up finally got to the machine and it started acting funny. The directions are a bit hard to follow, but I figured it out. After using the descaling solution, a rinse pod, and cleaning the parts of the machine inside and out, it started working like a dream and my teas taste SO MUCH BETTER, and the machine no longer leaks. It dispenses the exact same setting I select. Also, it doesn’t tell you this, but you need an extra part to use the filters. I have a K-Compact so I bought the short handle filter holder. I want to see how much better tasting my beverages can get. I will never put off cleaning my Keurig again. 10000% recommend this product if your machine isn’t working right.

The descaling solution and filters and water pods are sure to keep the Keurig in good shape

The descaling solution is premeasured in 14 oz and the contents are emptied into the Keurig water container, water is added according to the type of Keurig. Directions are with the machine itself. There is no after taste of the solution because you flush with clean water after descaling. A light comes on to tell you when it is time to descale. It should extend the life of the machine. It would be nice if directions for all machines were included with the descaling solution box without having to refer back to directions online if traveling with a Keurig.

Descaler works well

I've used my Keurig mini for a few months but not every day. So I thought it was time to descale it. It got clean! You can see in the pic all that gunk in the bowl. I didn't even use the whole bottle of descalar solution. I haven't used the pods or the water filter yet.

Saved my keurig

I thought my keurig was done and it was only 6 months old. Used this product and it is working like new. Just moved to a new area so possible different things in water so will need to clean on a regular schedule

Works as advertised

This kit works well for cleaning and descaling a Keurig machine. My only recommendation is Google search how to run the descale mode, since there are different ways to run the descale function based on the Keurig machine. If you don’t run the descale mode correctly, the notification will not go away.

Don't know if it did any good.

I followed the directions exactly while cleaning my Keurig which had not been cleaned or descaled since we got it several years ago. It was a hassle as I had to brew somewhere around 17 cups of water to clean my model. After it was all said and done, I could not detect any difference in the flavor of my brews.

Cleans the Keurig

Our Keurig was sputtering, making odd noises, and sometimes only dispensing half a cup of liquid. We figured either its pump had gone bad or it needed a descaling. So we bought the descaler, ran it through the Keurig per the instructions, and that fixed the problem. As with any descaler, the product has to run through the coffee maker, entailing making multiple cups of descaled water. And then you have to run fresh water through it to get rid of any residue. But that's true of all such cleaners and descalers. It just takes a little while. But the bottom line is that the product worked as described and our Keurig is operating smoothly again.

Not really sure. I think I need to try it again.

Literally after using this my keurig stopped working. After some googling we found an article suggesting that it could be an air bubble and how to fix it. It took some doing but the hubby got the keurig working again. I believe I will try it again next month before deciding if it was just a coincidence or if it’s the descaling solution. NOTE: Im not the only review mentioning that the keurig stopped working after using the solution. If it happens to you google how to remove air pockets from your keurig.
