A little noisy

In particular the closing of the lid is quite loud, with a bit of a smack shut. I’m going to try calling customer service and see if there are any recommendations to improve it. Otherwise, good quality, nice look (for a garbage can), functional.

Easy tonuse

Love the trash can so far. Goes well with my black and silver theme of the kitchen. Easily catches movement near the lid and opens up in a timely fashion. Stays open for 10s or so allowing adequate time to throw the trash. Be careful emptying the van as since sir uses four D batteries which are all located towards the back of the lid, the lid tilts very easily when you lift it . So have to be mindful of that. But otherwise, outstanding. Only question is to see how long the batteries last!

Very good product

This was my second purchase of this product. The first canister lasted me over 5 years and needed replacement because the sensor to open unit was not longer working. Cleaning is pretty easy and is essentially only needed for the top of the unit (which can be removed). The ring that keeps the trash bag in place works very well, I never had a bag fall and cause a mess in the actual container. i would definitely recommend this product.

Used to work great, but died after a couple years.

UPDATE: It lasted about 28 months before finally biting the dust: the top no longer opens and closes fully. Something is wrong with the sensor/motor that tells it when it is opened or closed. I didn't find battery drain to be a big issue: I only had to change them a couple times. However, it does kind of suck to see that it couldn't survive longer than this, and apparently this is on the longer end of its reported life spans. Having just spent $30/year to have this trash can, I'm off to find yet another one. --- This is certainly the most delightful trash can I have owned. It was very easy to assemble. It appears to be quite energy efficient as its D batteries have lasted me over two months with no signs of slowing down. I have not encountered any issues with pulling out the bags. In contrast, it has been quite easy. I don't understand the reviews where people talk about the bags falling apart. Use decent bags with drawstrings and you'll be fine. It is not too sensitive and does not open erroneously. I have a friend who bought a different model and theirs opens every time they walk past: no bueno! Overall I highly recommend this trash can.

So happy this exists

I've had this trash can for a bit now and it holds up really well! I was worries that the motor might give up eventually or that something would break but I open the lid at least 10 times a day and its so convenient to have the lid rise up automatically. Helps when you have your hands full with other stuff and dont want to touch an icky trash can. Very happy I made this purchase.

Elegant Stainless steel Container

I purchased the touchless trash can to house my recyclables! It is such an elegant edition to my pantry which uses stainless steel racks for storing items. It comes in handy!

Great gadget

A bit small but very effective. Move detection is perfect. Should have bought the wire tho which I’ll do right away. Sounds like it’s a battery drainer thing…. But it’s not the can’s problem it’s ours. We keep passing close to it so lol Good stuff thanks

Not working... Sent replacement lid!

The media could not be loaded. Not working with batteries, not working with ac adapter which doesn't cons with it btw. Called customer service, no answer. I need to return it...edit! They sent me a new lid and it's been working perfectly! Love the hands and leg free bin!

trash can

At first I really loved this can, but recently it started acting up it now refuses to close on its own ,I have tried everything that I can think of like cleaning the sensor, as much as you can by wiping it off , and using the adapter thinking the batteries were low. nothing minor like that At this point I would think long and hard about getting another. I had this now for 4 more months and the problem seems to have clear and it now working great it opens and closes properly and it works fine so if you having problem try and keep using it mine cleared up and may ifd you have problem give it time and your will clear up too.
