It is not the softest form of velvet. But it has grown on me.

My initial review: It is not the softest form of velvet. That's the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. This is the micro thin lined/ corderoy kind of velvet. Positioned next to my real velvet arm chair with the same color, this ottoman also seems a tiny bit cheap-looking. Though a perfect color, I'll need to re-upholester to have the touch of real velvet. Other than that, the interior storage space is good, it is sturdy; the only assembly required is twisting in its feet. It's a good buy. My updated review after having ottoman for a number of months: I now love it. Still don't love the price given the type of velvet used, but it finally fits in fine for me with my existing furniture. It is sturdy and so far child-proof. It makes for a great leg-rest and trunk. This kind of velvet has grown on me. I enjoy this ottoman. I am changing my older review from 2 stars to 4 stars. It still could use a price reduction after all.

Wonderful piece. Very good quality for price. It supports my body and I have no fear of toppling over. Generous seating I would definitely buy thos item again. ❤️
