Solid, stainless and made in Germany but previously returned by someone.

Only complaint I have is that it was a returned item which some one tried to use unsuccessfully and returned. Came in a totally crushed and ripped box. It wasn't worth my time to return it. Served my purpose.

Overpriced and exactly what you need.

I feel that I must agree with the other reviewers. This item is exactly what I expected it to be, a pair of stamped steel brackets. These are not complex, they are not polished, they are not fancy. These allow for relatively easy adjustment of the Hansgrohe mixers and valves between two studs. There are two mounting options for Hansgrohe products. You may screw the iBox onto the face of a board that is mounted between studs, or you may use these brackets to flush mount the box. I chose these brackets because I have 2x4 framing and my walls are not deep enough to allow for another board behind the box.

Get this if, and only if, you don't have a good way of adding a 2x4 for your iBox.

"3.5 stars". These are OK but not great. They are not as sturdy as I hoped. Dimensions are a few millimeters off from what the manual says so I had a bit of an extra headache when installing. I had to use different screws, since the ones these came with were not good enough to go into old studs this was attached to. I thought this would be easier than finding a way of attaching a 2x4 in my case, but in retrospect, probably a wash.
