I've been needing one of these for years. Someone remodeled a a bathroom and the plumbing for the tread on tub spout was no longer in the correct spot. This was a quick and easy fix to fill the gap between the spout and the wall.

Worked well overall

The foam squeezed over the 1/2inch pipe threads to pipe with a tight fit. The bathtub faucet replacement was around 3" and fit just over that first indention and looked pretty good once finished.

Product received is NOT what was pictured

The item in the product picture is NOT the product I received. The product ID number DOES match the description, but the item itself does not match the flat surface shown in product picture or the pictures in other customer reviews. I specifically ordered this $26 item for the flat surface shown, and was willing to spend the $26 because it was the only one I could find with the flat surface.... I need the flat surface model because the ones with the raised 'decorative' lip like this do not work for my tub spout. This was a waste of my time and money, and now I have to waste more time to return it and get my money back, and try to find something else that will work.

This fit perfectly and prevented water from getting through the hole behind the spout and leaking into the basement.
