Great filter

I bought this filter to use in the 5 cup mr coffee pot. It works great. A good rinse cleans it out daily and I use polident tabs with hot water soak to quickly clean screen monthly.

Great for 4 Cups, but has issues with making 2 Cups (read on).

I just got into Home Grinding coffee, and Switched from a FlexBrew to Mr. Coffee because I wanted to have extra coffee in a pot so I could either drink it later, or put it in the fridge for Ice coffee. This fit perfect in my Mr. Coffee, Here's the thing..... When I make 4 Cups, it's PERFECT!!! I use 1 tsp per cup as recommended, and add jusr a 1/8th of an inch more water for evaporation, especially if I haven't used maker in a while. NOW, when I try to make only TWO CUPS, this is where it fails. (See Image) Got a weak cup and wasn't happy. Once I saw the filter I know why. To get around it, I put a small piece of plastic there that I cut out, but I think I will look for a filter with a full plastic bottom, and not filtered down there so if drips to the side.

Sturdy but hard to handle

Great product - easy to use and clean once it cools off. As handle falls down into grounds due to its being too short, you cannnot lift out of machine until its cool.

For those who are getting weak coffee -- grind your coffee finer

I'm reading some reviews of people finding water goes through this filter too fast and thus end up with a weak pot of coffee. I suggest using a finer grind of coffee. The finer the grind, the more the water stays within the coffee and saturates it. Too coarse a grind and water will just flow on through. As far as a review goes, not much to say. It works. This is my second one and I can say that the first one never had an issue for the couple years we used it. The coffee maker stopped working and we accidentally tossed the filter out with the coffee maker. I dinged it a star for the little handle on it. Poor design. It has a tab that is supposed to keep it from falling into the basket but it doesn't work. I just remove the handle altogether.

Grounds in cup may be from too finely ground coffee.

I received this yesterday and have had two cups of coffee since then. The first had grounds in it that did not come from spilling over the top. In their defense, it was espresso grind so that may have been the reason. This morning I made a cup putting the flimsy coffee filter in it that this is replacing. That worked and no grounds in my cup. I may edit this once I grind some coffee that is not as fine.

Perfect size for small coffee maker

Those small paper filters always fold and leak. These fit perfectly and are easy to clean.
