EXACT REPLACEMENT !

This item looks, installs, fits and works EXACTLY like the original element. Not too much more to say, other than MUCH BETTER PRICE than from local appliance dealer, who wanted $64.99 for what certainly seemed to be the same item. (Even the BOX they showed me was the same size, color, and had the same markings on the outside as the one delivered by Amazon.) I am willing to pay more to buy local. But, nearly $70 with tax, is almost THREE TIMES the cost. You just HAVE to draw the line somewhere.

This is the about the third or fourth bottom element we have had to replace on our Hotpoint oven since we first bought the stove in 2001. Installation was fairly easy until this time--when we discovered one of the oven's wires had somehow shorted out. We got an electrician who was already doing work for our landlord to repair the wire and complete the installation. That was 14 months ago--and it has worked perfectly ever since. *TIP: I have received questions as to whether or not this element will fit a certain model #. All you have to do is to enter the model # of your oven and it will automatically tell you if it does or not. This is how I have found replacement elements every time it has needed one. No guessing and the part shipped overnight.
