Nice Backstop

The assembly was a bit of a bear to deal with. The lacing of the nets were tedious and I think if I knew then what I know now I would have used zip ties. I used zip ties for the top section and attaching it to the goal posts instead of drilling. It's taken some hard shots but I haven't done any slapshots as of yet(not my forte)

Works as advertised, tough to build

This backstop extension is a great addition to any backyard hickey goal set up, especially if your player is trying to shoot bar down and instead shoots into the neighbors house. So far, seems to work great, we shall see how it holds up to the elements. Set up was…a struggle. Expect to spend 2hrs setting up and not fully understanding the instructions. Overall, good value for the money and cheaper than replacing the neighbors windows.

Backstop for EZGOAL 4x6 Hockey Net

Nice and sturdy backstop for EZ Goal 4x6 hockey net. Assembly was more time consuming than it was difficult. You need to snake the included cord around the bar through the net mesh holes (all the way around side net sections). I Attached to goal with two wing nut bolts on each side. Straight forward. Keep small amount of slack in net to avoid puck/ball ricochets

Hey, thats pretty good...

Product was shipped in itsdisplay box, which seems a little thin on the cardboard, but it worked. The construstion is solid, but modifications may be needed to fin your net (mine needed new screws). The rebound net connects to the normal net with elastic cords (not the tightest, i used screws). The net and the instructions are the real downside. The instrustions are ok until you lace up the net all by hand, then you are on your own. The net and the string are also not the strongest. My right side bottom string after about 200 shots with pucks... Overall good it you are ok with putting some work into getting things to work, but not a perfect out of the box solution.

Great backstop. I already had the EZGoal net for about a year and I was getting tired of puck chasing so I bought this backstop. Works as intended and the only downside is the assembly. It's not hard, it just takes a while to weave the rope around the frame. Once assembled though it's works great. I have noticed if you weave the rope too tightly, the backstop will sometimes act like a trampoline and bounce the puck back at you. I had to loosen up the tension on the mesh.

Saved my walls

My son received the goal last year but wild shots were leaving dents all over my garage walls. He set up the backstop himself (he did the goal too- 11 years old) and it’s been great!

Worth every penny!

Perfect for my 6 year old son! He's just learning how to really put his weight into a shot so he's ripping them all over the garage lol. Bonus as the backstop netting on the sides is tight and acts a rebounder when he shanks his shoots. I've ripped a few shots myself and it holds up pretty well to my booming slap shot and wicked wristers lol. Great product. Pair it with a shooter tutor and your all set for epic games of hoarse with your friends and family.

Saves my Walls!

The side and top attachments to the net are exactly as described. My hockey net did not have holes, so I had to drill holes so that the sides would attach snugly. Also, the posts of my net were thicker, so the 3 inch long bolts weren’t long enough (I purchased 4 inch long bolts at Home Depot for $0.60 each, plus butterfly nuts for about the same price). The mesh netting seems like it won’t fit, but it definitely does fit. My suggestion is to use some zip ties in the corners and sides to help stretch the net into place, then use the provided string if you want, then tighten the zip ties. I used a lot of zip ties on the bottom pieces in particular, see close-up picture.
