Quality materials and great design choices made this a safe and awesome choice!
Well, I'am a hardcore user of backpacks, specially the ones for 17" laptops and for street use. That said, I must confess this is much better quality than I expected based on other folks reviews here on Amazon. Quality, finishing and looks: This backpack is clearly well done with top notch materials, from the ziper to the inside fabric, everything looks really nice and well selected. The backpack design itself surprised me a little, because in the pictures looks slightly flat and not so shape consistent, but in fact is the other way around, even empty it looks good. The orange internal color is brighter than I thought and is really soft... maybe too soft for a future cleaning job, but looks good! Size and daily use: looking from outside the backpack look small because it has no corners in the design, but in fact is a quite large backpack, with lots of room for many items and lots of internal pockets that have been proven really useful. Fits perfectly my 17,1" Pro Toshiba Laptop that is a monster laptop in size. At the same time the backpack and its straps are amazingly designed to make the weight of the laptop to be distributed more even in the straps, even when you leave a strap shorter than the other, the weight still feels balanced... that is extremely good for long walks and in my case to use with a Bicycle or Bike. I use this backpack everyday when ridding a bicycle, and it really feels comfortable, and I must say that the reflective materials clearly helped me in some possibly dangerous situations, and cars drivers let me know that the backpack reflecting was what they saw in the dark. So KUDOS for Everki for that life saver feature! Cons: The only thing I can mention is that the interior material in so soft and fluffy that I know in the future I will have some problems cleaning that, but nothing major. And the only design flaw I found was the top small strap, it is positioned in a really bad place between the 2 straps and not in the top of the back pack... making hard to lift the backpack with heavy weight and compressing the weight against your fingers and the backpack back. I loved this and will definitely buy products from the same manufacturer again!

I use it with my 13 inch Macbook and I like it
I've had it for a couple of days now. First off, my use case: I'm a 2nd year medical student that carried and Macbook Air 13 inch, 4th gen iPad, occasional book, and water bottle. When I first received it I was concerned that the laptop pocket would be too big. It is big, but I use a case on my macbook air and iPad and that takes up a bit more space. There's STILL quite a bit of space left in the laptop compartment when the macbook is in there. There's a little velcro thing that in theory should keep your laptop snug but it is way longer than needed for my air, so when the velcro strap is attached IT DOES HANG LOOSELY. I know that may bother some people so I want to put it out there. It doesn't bother me much b/c i keep my scarf there and that works nicely for me. I think the pockets are VERY WELL designed. The backpack hangs close to my back which is the way I like it. and doesn't "poof" out as much as I see other backpacks. It does this without those side buckles I've see in other backpacks (which I'm not a big fan of). It's a medium to large sized backpack which fits me just fine (I'm 6'1") but may be a problem with smaller users. The backpack feels a bit stiff right now but I think that's how backpacks are at the beginning. My last backpack was a Jansport Jester, which I really liked, and that lasted me 6 years and felt very pliable. I expect this backpack will get like that over time. I will try to write an update after I've had my backpack for a while.

Stylish and compact
Let me start off by saying that I am not a big fan of laptop backpacks because of 1: They are huge and look like you have a turtle behind your back (especially if your short like me) 2: They weigh a lot more than any standard backpack and the straps are really thick to support it. Still, I needed some way to carry my 17.3" MSi Apache pro around college. I searched and searched until (conviently) I stumbled upon everki's website on google. They had the best looking laptop backpacks that I was able to find and the price was reasonable to some extent because they do really do a great job at protecting your laptop. This was the smallest backpack that was able to hold my MSi with a stylish black and orange design It barely fits the backpack to the point were I have to pull the edge of the zipper just a bit up to fit it but for me that's a plus considering that it adds more protection from it jumping around and you can't really notice anything popping out from the edges. Still I feel its not enough room for other things like water bottles or tons of notebooks but its a compromise for a stylish and compact backpack. Btw its only like 1.5" long from top to bottom than a jansport backpack if you want to compare.

Excellent water resistant backpack!
I have been using this bag for well over a year now. I am very pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend. I don't always carry around my 13" Macbook but there are plenty of large pockets to accommodate it. There are two pouches inside to separate the laptop and charger. I then use the mesh pocket to store various cables and accessories. You have a large inside compartment for various other things. The front pocket has lots of little pockets (great for storing a compact camera, a wallet, pens/stylus, etc. I have never had to leave the house short of supplies due to the lack of storage space. The only slight issue is that the bag is only water resistant. There was one incident where I was cycling in really bad rain. Some parts of the bag did get soaked through the bottom (splashed up from the bike tyres). If I was really concerned about this though, I would invest in a waterproof cover.

Top notch!
After doing a fair bit of research, I purchased this backpack back in 2015 as I needed something that could fit my chunky laptop. Fast forward to now and I have nothing but praise for this magnificent backpack. It has endured a LOT of wear and tear and still functions just as well as when it was new. It can hold a lot of items across the many pockets, and the back straps are easily adjustable. Sure, it might not be as trendy as a Herschel, but it will be a valuable companion for you for many, many years and offers incredible value for the price too.

Great bag but not enough pockets
After using a Targus for the past 15 years, I've grown used to having different pouches for different things. This is a comfy, and well-made bag. I've no doubt it'll last longer than the Targus. But I would have been happier having more pockets.

A very smart rucksack
A very smart rucksack. Stands upright by itself, and I like the transparent/mesh pocket for all the bits and pieces. Standard 17" laptops with a foam slipcase is tight (foam to protect corners and some waterproofing). A larger gaming laptop will go in, but without the slip case, so top corners might be vulnerable.
