Very nice look on my bay windows!

I wasn't sure if I was going to like so much navy on my bay windows, but once I hung them, I was very pleased. I did not hang any other panels on the sides - only the valances. They are not sheer at all, but since they only cover the tops of the windows, they don't block light from coming in the rest of the window area. I have blinds on the windows so, it worked out well. The color appears navy to me, almost a denim navy color. I have not washed them, so can't speak to that, but I'm guessing might need a little touch up with an iron, but that's just me.

perfect for dealing with brutal sun!

Great quality, actually linen material, perfect level of opaqueness for dealing with awful sun, very glad I bought this one! Buy this if you're dealing with brutal sun like us! "White" is like a natural linen color, more off white or slightly tan than bright white. It's just what we wanted. Our kitchen window is terrible in winter -- the sun is unobstructed and absolutely brutal and goes right in your eyes for like 5 hours through the late morning into afternoon. It's so bad that we couldn't cook or clean or do anything. I was honestly cramming an old cardboard box in the window just to get some relief, then I taped a dish towel to the wall, and then we were like wait, let's buy a small curtain and a spring-loaded curtain rod! Duh. Originally I bought some super cheap sheer white curtain and it didn't do anything. It was "faux linen" and was basically like 99% transparent and horrible looking. I returned it and found this one but was nervous. But I'm glad to report that this curtain is basically perfect. It perfectly blocks the worst of the sun but definitely lets a little light through and disperses it so it never hurts your eyes. It has a cute pattern on the edge that I didn't see when I bought it (see pics) and looks very nice. The rod I bought is just the Amazon Basics one, brushed nickel to match our kitchen faucet. I steamed this curtain out of the package to remove a few wrinkles, but other than that it's high quality, low maintenance and has totally changedoour kitchen window for the better. I absolutely recommend this! Spend a few more dollars than the super cheap pieces of garbage here on Amazon -- you'll be happy. Be sure to measure your window to get the right size. By the way I don't get anything for writing this review. I bought this because I needed a curtain and paid full price. I like writing reviews and am just trying to be helpful!

Quality control issues, the actual curtains are very nice material.

One of the tiers was two pieces of fabric sewn together at the top where it was doubled over. That was the only panel that was sewn that way and I didn’t actually notice until I opened the seam to modify it. It wasn’t noticeable until then. Any type of curtain, valance or tier of this size should be one continuous piece of fabric, not two. That was a little annoying, since the seam now shows due to the top being undone, but I will find another use for that one panel other than being used as a tier, as I have ordered extra since. Just look for this issue if you are ordering any, if it will be of concern. There is also an issue with color, some panels are white and some are slightly yellowed. Again, it’s not too noticeable, unless you’re really looking. Just so people know what they are getting. Otherwise, I really do like these. I like the French country/shabby chic/coastal/farmhouse look, and these aren’t too structured, which is perfect. I also like the way they filter the light without blocking it out. They cannot be seen through also. They are also very airy and light, both in appearance and weight, so can be used with a light rod. They are perfect in our long window in the eat in kitchen dining area.

I love these curtains

I have these in my living room with a tension rod. I did have to iron them before hanging. They are of a nice weight, are not sheer and look great. I am very happy with my purchase. There is more light in my living room , maintaining privacy.

Perfect! I love it!

This was exactly what I was looking for! The qualify is upscale and gives my room the look I was going for. I ironed them, and hung them with clip-on rings. This method has kept them wrinkle-free, and they look flawless. BUY THESE!

Not just for windows.

I have a movable center island with wheels because I don’t have a lot of storage space in my kitchen. I use the shelves for kitchen items I use often. No matter how neat I stack the pots, pans, and other items, it always looks like an eye sore. My sister told me about some magnetic rods she purchased for one of her windows (I had never heard of them). Since the island is stainless steel, I purchased two rods for front and back, and found blue curtains that match the paint on my kitchen wall on Amazon. Now, the area looks very neat!

Measure them!!!

I'll give it a 3 because it is really very pretty, the photo color is accurate, and it came right away. But look at the photo - come on, did you think I might miss it? One's an inch shorter in length and 4" shorter in width. And it's not like they're cheap. I'll wait for the replacement before returning one. I have no idea what to expect for the third one and I'll keep whichever one I can pass off.
