SNT2125AP Great Except For Auger-Propelled Feature
5 years ago after owning a single stage auger propelled Craftsman 2-stroke snowblower, I replaced it with the Ego SNT2103 single stage snowblower. I was great, but it was a lot of pushing. Even so, I stuck with it and never had a problem with it. When I saw Ego had finally introduced an auger propelled version, I sold my old one and bought the new SNT2125AP (Included batteries and charger). I've had a few opportunities now to use it in 3-6" of snow and the auger propelled feature is very minimal. If you start the auger and lift the handle up to put pressure on the auger the snowblower goes nowhere. At best, I'm not pushing as hard, but to be honest it's hard to tell if it does anything at all. The old Craftsman would at least pull itself when I put pressure on the auger. I think the ergonomics of this new Ego are better and I do appreciate the heated grips more than I thought I would. When the grip heater is turned on the switch lights up, but it is difficult to see in daylight. It should light up red for better visibility. There is no indication the lights are on so if you accidentally switch it on in daylight you won't know it. The new unit is also noisier than the old version. Aside from the auger propelled function being minimal to non existent, I'll be keeping it. It throws plenty far enough for our Utah snow and it is solidly built. My last one went five years with no sign of slowing down. I have several other Ego tools including the 2 stage SNT2405 for deeper snow and am happy with all of them. The 2 stage you just point it and go. It does all the work. Love it. The single stage will be fine for most of the snow we have to deal with. For what the batteries and charger alone would have cost, it was worth the upgrade after applying the sale of my old Ego snowblower.

Works ok accept when below zero
I have had this for about 4 months and used it 3 times. Today it was minus 13 outside and after about 10 minutes it just quit. I am assuming it was too cold for it because the batteries show as fully charged. The last two times it worked good and it was above zero. The snow was really light and nothing got caught in the auger. After shoveling the snow I tried it again and it worked so not sure exactly what happened. I am waiting for the next snow and will try it again.
