Perfect for heavy sleeping toddler

Accidents happen, this lessens the mess!

Even if a child is potty trained, accidents happen, especially in the car. You’re stuck in traffic and they can’t “hold it” any longer. Your little one had a long day and fell deeply asleep on the way home, and their bladder didn’t wake them up. Beyond those kinds of “accidents,” there are spills. Leaking bottles, squirting juice boxes, and sippy cups that drip. This seat pad makes clean up so easy. Just take it out and toss in the washing machine. It’s surprisingly absorbent, too. Best of all, the material is velvety soft and comfortable for the child. The Diono seat pad is much better than others because there’s protection up around where the seat buckle sticks up, preventing the mess from soaking down into the car seat. It also goes up in the back and around the sides, containing the mess. Don’t be fooled by cheaper imitations, it’s worth a little more to get something that is well designed and that really works!

Soft and easy to clean

Easy to add/remove to and from car seat. I have the Diono Radian R and a toddler who loves to snack so it helps to catch all that mess too.

Good solution for potty training toddler

Worked out great for a potty training toddler if she falls asleep in the car.

If its in place, catches all the leaks.

Well as a water proof seat cover its great but where the hole in the center is, spills can occur if the baby is seated too far forward or the hole isn't up enough when the baby is seated in it a spill can slip down the hole. We are so thankful for this product though, its like a bucket that contains all the mess and that is a game changer.

Amazing!!!

Oh my gosh! I rarely leave reviews for products, but this thing was amazing! I took my daughter to Disneyland for her 3rd birthday and got this for her car seat and stroller. She has been in big-girl undies for a few months with no problems, but I wanted to make sure we had extra protection just in case we couldn’t get to a potty fast enough. We ended up having two such circumstances - both of which occurred as she was napping in the stroller (she isn’t sleep trained yet). When she woke up, I changed her and then took this pad to the sink. I rinsed it with water and scrubbed it with some hand soap. I then wrung it out as much as I could and used paper towels to help absorb as much water as possible. I set it in the stroller in the sun while we went on a ride and came back to a clean, dry pad! It was brilliant! The perfect tool for potty training and traveling with a newly-trained kiddo!

Saved my sanity!

Potty training is not for the weak of heart! While I have gotten the time it takes me to take a car seat cover off to be washed, this thing saves my sanity by being able to throw us it in the wash after an accident!

A life saver

The key is to make sure it's positioned correctly, with the back, sides and part around the buckle upright. If any part is bent down, then yes, it'll leak onto the car seat, but as long as I take a second to double check everything then I don't have any issues! It has saved me from having to take a part the entire car seat when my kid has accidents. It washes easily, and dries quickly.

Great product

Essential product for potty training. After a full wee accident the car seat itself was completely dry. It does require a bit of straightening out after putting the child in but worth it to avoid striping the car seat

Good

Not the best fit in our axkid minikid but strong and well lined. Thankfully no accidents yet so can’t comment on its effectiveness but feels like it’ll work perfectly

Good for small accidents

Unfortunately this didn't pass the fully waterproof test when my daughter was first potty training. However, it has saved the car seat now that she is potty trained if she has a small accident eg when she falls asleep in the car. It also comes in handy keeping food etc off the seat.

Looks promising but doesn't protect the car seat

This seems like a really good quality, well made seat pad... BUT... It did nothing to protect the car seat from getting wet when my son had an accident. The vertical section around the hole for the car seat strap isn't high enough and wee goes over the top. Disappointing for something that seemed so promising.
