I was timid about placing the order simply because the paint job in the picture looked too good to be true

When I happened upon these, I was looking for two pillars or column type pieces with specific dimensions. I chose these because of the fantastic design, but also because the seller. Design Toscano is always a name worth noting because their products are both unique and in good quality. The prices are always a point of comfort as well! I placed the order and eagerly awaited its arrival. The candlesticks look exactly like the photos. The paint is incredible. The cast design is brilliant. One must stop to understand and appreciate the effort and thought that went into the design. On top of that, the resin itself is very sturdy and well cast. Things like this always put a smile on my face because, to me, it shows that someone, somewhere, had the thought that they wanted to share something special, meaningful, and purpose-built with the world. They found a way to create, cast, and finish a brilliant product in an affordable way so it could be accessible to many.

Pretty, but...

They are very nice, glass isn't as thick as I would think alittle fragile bit nice. I ordered 2 and both pieces of glass had flaws as seen in the pictures, but not enough to send them back. Also alittle expensive for what they are and quality, but I do like them, so I will keep them.

Old world appeal

I thought it was perfect for what I wanted, a fine line between rustic meets tuscony old flair. It isn't made with the highest of quality when you are handling it but it shows beautifully on my wall. After reading the reviews prior to my purchase I was prepared for a more metal look so I wasn't disappointed it would be awesome in a weathered copper or brass too though : ) Nothing broke in shipping which I was worried about so thank you for that too!

The perfect Old World look!

Absolutely love these sconces! They are perfect for the space. The packaging was very good. The only thing that needed a little adjustment was the candle holders themselves but they could be bent slightly and that is all we needed.

Detailed beautiful product! Amazing !

Oh my gosh, my wife fell in love with these when she saw them on amazon. They arrived and when we looked at them we were even more impressed. They are filled with so much detail, have lovely colors and look absolutely stunning on our mantelpiece above the fireplace. We have received so many comments from visitors and family who have asked about them. They are also a nice size which is also what we were super happy with. They give so much pleasure to us looking at them on a daily basis! Would repurchase these tomorrow! Stunning product do not hesitate to purchase if you are thinking about it. You will love them!

Kind of like an aluminum bucket feels after it has weathered

I am no one to judge anyone's taste or décor. I just know they were not for me and agree with previous review this item was not as depicted. I was out of town, had a "trying" trip to say the least and really looking forward to opening the box when I returned home. Much to my dismay, and untrained design eye, these sconces looked and felt very rugged, unfinished, weathered almost to the point of pitted. Kind of like an aluminum bucket feels after it has weathered. They would be great in an outside/enclosed area of a deck or covered porch. If that is what you are looking for, this is the sconce for you. They are very grey and not black. Sorry. I usually do not review items, good or bad, but this comes in a very large box. Cumbersome to return. Best of luck.
