I didn't know what I was missing

I can't believe I lived 33 years without this. It's a brilliant yet simple tool, takes up as much space as a screwdriver, and requires no electricity or compressed air. And the fact that it uses a 3/8 inch socket attachment means you can attach just about anything to it. No more stuck bolts or screws! It works especially good for screws because the combination of impact pressure and torque that it creates when you smack it, means the screw bit can't jump out of the screw and strip. That's not the case with the electric ones that can only grip the screw as tight as you can push on it. This is the only tool of this type I've used, so I don't know how it compares to other brands. But with that said, it seems very high quality and I have no complaints.

Helped a lot.

Only complaint is when holding it if you put too much pressure you can accidentally switch it between left and right turn. Helped get a painted over screw out of a vehicle that hadn't been touched in 30 years.

It took off rusted Rotor Screws

For a 3/8" impact screwdriver, it worked great removing stuck/rusted rotor screws. It even removed a cammed out screw when I used an electric impact driver that cammed out the screw. Do not use an electric impact driver as it is very hard to control the turning and will cam out the screw. And before using the impact screwdriver, always tap/bang the screw with a tap to crack the rust on the screw and spray liquid wrench to loosen the screw. It will make the unscrewing of the screw easier with the impact screwdriver and help not bend or break the bits. After doing that, I used the impact screwdriver and wacked it several times while twisting the tool with my hand and it unscrewed with ease even the cammed out screw one. Also, all impact screwdriver comes with the same quality bits. If the screw is severely rusted and you don't bang the screw and spray liquid wrench, the bits will break regardless of which brand of impact screwdriver you buy. The only issue I had with the Craftsman one is that it is a 3/8" and I wanted a 1/2". Also, it does not come with a case. I return it for a 1/2" and one that comes with a case.

OMG! This impact screwdriver is amazing. After much effort, aching hands and WD40 nothi g could budge this screw. The new tool had the screw out in seconds. Highly recommend this tool for everyone!

When you need to change your rotors, this tool delivers.

I used this tool to loosen the screws holding my rotors in place. Handled the job with no issues. Such an important tool for that job and was surprised (in a good way) with the cost. Buy it.

The tool I always needed but never bought!

For the price this totally beats all the no name Amazon tools! It’s Heavy and Excellent construction makes this ideal for taking screws out of engines with ease! *pictured is the Impact Tool compared to a Normal Screw Driver* The tool worked far better and faster then the screw driver and I barely even hit the top hard with my hammer! I highly recommend you pick one up for brake rotors and the likes! If you want to keep it in working order be general with anything heavier than a ordinary hammer

Must have!

This tool is a must have if you're doing a brake job on a Honda or any other car that have those "rotor screws". The screws end up being so corroded that they are impossible to get out with a normal screwdriver. They will normally require to be drilled out. This tool made my job painless and I will be adding it to my toolbox!
