Hypersensitive skin

First thing is after all these reviews complaining of packaging problems you'd think they would find a way to fix this issue. My package came in a Amazon bag but the product itself was open as if someone opened it and product was on the outside of it. After cleaning it up a bit I was very skeptic to use it but was desperate to try it. Ok now for the good stuff, I have very sensitive skin but my face is hypersensitive anything and everything breaks me out or makes my face red and or burns it. I brought this specifically for a facial moisturizer because I desperately needed something for my face. The original Cetaphil is too oily for my face I breakout????????‍♀️Olay breaks me out and Ponds does to. Well this my friends is a winner it passed all test with flying colors. I'm not itchy, it doesn't burn, it didn't turn my face red and I didn't breakout????????. I am forever grateful to Cetaphil for making this product for ppl like me. It is hard to find and Wally World wants a arm and a leg for it after further researching where else I could get this from because I started to think that is being discontinued I found out Walgreens and CVS has it and that's where I'll be getting it from until these guys do better with packaging. Sorry for such a long review but I'm sure someone will be thankful and find this useful????????

Great for slugging or just very sensitive skin!

I love Cetaphil products and use many of their great skincare products, including Cetaphil redness relieving night cream, Cetaphil gentle cleanser, fragrance free, and this one! If you have rosacea or sensitive, dry skin this will work for you. It is very oily, occulsive, so a little goes a long way! I can only use a tiny bit after all my other skincare for my last step in my skincare regimen. If you don't like anything heavy, occulsive, or oily feeling you won't like this. Great for slugging and to lock in moisture before bed time. I let soak in for a bit before putting my my head on my pillowcase. I try to do my nightly skincare at least 1,2 hours before going to bed so everything absorbs into my skin before it gets wiped off on my pillow while sleeping. I am a side sleeper so I have to do this.

Great product, disappointing expiration date

I just received the 16 oz jar today. It’s working wonders on my horribly sunburnt skin, but I knocked a star off because I’m disappointed that the expiration date is in 6 months. I assume the expiration date isn’t *super* strict on lotion, but hopefully I can get a year out of this huge jar. It’s incredibly soothing though and I highly recommend it!

Great emollient cream.

Some reviews said it was greasy but I didn’t find that true. Maybe because I don’t try to get dressed immediately after applying it. It is at least 10 minutes gap for me, and by then it has soaked in. It is really moisturizing and not at all irritating. Even though Cetaphil is supposed to be hypoallergenic, many of their lotions have propylene glycol in. It makes me itch.this one does not.

Clean and easy to apply

The texture of this is really nice--it goes on really easily, moisturizes well, and is not oily. I'm so glad I bought this. I apply it over arms, neck, face, and legs every day, and it just makes me feel great.

Plastic pieces in product?

Overall this product is ok. I don't find it to be moisturizing enough for my very dry skin (I prefer the tub of CeraVe over this one) but it is refreshing/cooling when applied. However, I'm confused as to why everytime I use it, I get a build up of what look like slivers of plastic. I can feel them rubbing against my skin as I apply. I've included a picture. So while I would normally say this product is great for sensitive skin, I'm not sure what that is and the rough texture could irritate skin. Maybe I got a bad batch? It makes me question the safety/quality of the product.
