Optics: very good, not great. Stacking lenses: No problem. Minimal visual deterioration of image. All in all, better than average visual acuity and accuracy. At this price point - an excellent value

Nice magnifier with some issues
I bought this to put on my keychain. It’s great for things like reading the fine print on pill bottles or examining jewelry. The lens is protected by retracting inside the housing. It has a couple of problems: 1) The open button is too sensitive and it will pop open in your pocket. I solved this problem by filing down the button with a nail file so it’s not so easily triggered. 2) The swivel attachment is made of pot metal and broke - see photo. But you don’t really need it, the key ring seems strong and reliable. So I’m happy with the product in spite of the problems.

Works great but isn’t labeled
The magnification levels are not labeled on the lenses, but otherwise it works great! Had fun examining tiny rock crystals with my face up against a granite boulder. Am now an entomology major but these will work just as well for looking at aphids!

Good, clear magnification; well put together
Rating: 5 stars Although I haven't had it long enough to test its durability over many months, I can say that this pocket magnifier seems to be well built and it certainly has clear magnification. The lens flips into and out of the cover easily with just enough resistance for it to stay at whatever position it's opened to. There's a small indentation at the top edge that makes it easy to catch with a finger or fingernail and thus to swivel the lens out of its case. I've used it to read a label on a bottle of pills, to check on the small print on a piece of mail and even to read small print on my iphone when it's easier to just flip out the magnifier instead of enlarging the screen and losing most of it. I used it to check out details on a map and found it worked extremely well. Keeping in mind the price, this is something that should be in every pocket or purse of anyone who's finding small print difficult to read. It takes up very little space and the case seems strong enough to withstand some wear and tear. I'm delighted with this magnifier so far.

Nice, but dollar store magnifying glass is better.
Not a bad product. I bought a pack of 4 for $15 to use to light fires for bushcraft. However, the dollar store had 5x real glass magnifying glass for $1.25. :(
