Waste
These are durable but they sure don’t last freeze wise. Had them in my cooler lunch box..melted after two hours.

Convenient and Effective Ice Packs
Initial Impressions: When I received the Soft Ice Packs, I was impressed with how soft and pliable they were. They were also a good size, making them convenient to use for a variety of different injuries. Pros: These ice packs were very effective in reducing swelling and relieving pain. I appreciated that they stayed cold for a decent amount of time, allowing me to use them for longer periods without needing to re-freeze. They were also very easy to clean and store, making them a convenient option for me to keep on hand. Cons: No real cons Overall, good small ice packs for the price.

They are soft still when frozen
For some reason, it's hard to find ice packs that stay soft when frozen. These do. They cost more than ones that don't, but it may be worth it. Got to have on hand for kids getting hurt or packing in lunches.

Really nice little gel ice packs! They stay nice and gelatenous when frozen. Stay frozen a while.
I've had bad luck with these gel ice packs before. One type worked well, but got a leak almost immediately. The next type just froze solid, making it more of an ice cube than a gel pack. But these are really nice! Finally! Yeah, they stay soft when frozen and stay frozen for much longer than expected once removed from the freezer. And they are quite sturdy, with the plastic being pretty thick and the seams wide. I'll just make sure to keep them away from pointy things, as they are still really just plastic bags of goop. But these are the best plastic bags of goop I've found. I need something like this because I have syncope (unexpected nausea/failing spells) and I've discovered that putting something cold on the back of my neck calms my body down just a bit, so I can usually wait it out, sitting down carefully, not doing anything, and not actually pass out. I've usually just ended up grabbing ice cubes in a sandwich bag. Or maybe snow in a baggie, if it's winter. Or, more recently, a bag of frozen cranberries that I've had for years, because I don't really like them, and only use them for veggie stuffing, which I make... every few years, maybe. :-) And I ended up with two bags of cranberries, so this one has never been opened at all. But now, I can use something much softer than frozen cranberries on my neck! A nice squishy gel pack! Not that I'm looking forward to having to use one of these, but now that I have them, I'm prepared. I'd like to thank the BUILT company for making an actually great quality product. That's hard to find these days. These are well worth my 5 stars. (I rarely give them. 3 is the bell curve norm. And most product on Amazon are even below average these days, unfortunately.) ... Flexible; Smaller than advertised
The main selling point is that these stay flexible, still a gel inside, when you get them to temps that would freeze water. Handy for packing a lunch. They're small. The cold parts measure 5-3/4" by 3-7/8" at the corners, 5-1/4" by almost 3-1/2" in the middle. They're about 1/2" thick. They seem durable. Made in China.

Came dirty
The media could not be loaded. I love that these ice packs are so flexible and don’t crack. They are great to throw in lunch boxes and the colors are fun. However, one arrived with a stain on it which was concerning.

Lasted longer than I thought
I teach a sport that requires me to pack food for 14 hour days on the weekend. I try to pack as lightly as possible because everything has to be transported with my on a bus and then into schools, it's a whole thing. Since I'm on a special diet I bring all my food for the day but I try to fit it all in one lunch bag. That was not really possible with those hard plastic ice packs that I would typically use. However, with these, they don't take up as much space and they still lasted me at least 8-10 hours and still felt cold. Do I think these will work well for more than 8-10 hrs? I don't think so. But if you are using these for school lunches I think they would do the trick. Because of their size they don't take up a lot of room so I was able to use both of them to make sure I could be near more than one item in the bag. I'll keep trying these each weekend and see if I can narrow down exactly how long they last but if they're well frozen and in a decent lunch bag you should be good to go. Also, I love the color of these. :-)

They Work!
These ice packs are great. I have packed them in my lunch and used them for back pain relief. When I first opened them, what caught my eye was how cute they are--not that I really care what my ice packs look like, but it is nice that they are aesthetically pleasing. They are small and thin--I love that they don't take up much room in my lunch bag or in my freezer. They stay frozen for hours (I haven't had a chance to time them yet). They are soft, even when frozen, which is nice because they are flexible and can be used in a variety of ways. Highly recommended!
