Brother 660 Toner Cartridge

This is the Original Equipment Manufacturer toner cartridge for my new Brother laser printer. Computer hardware usually has a 360 day warranty. The last thing you need is to have a service failure due to using non OEM supplies while your printer is under warranty, and even after the warranty expires. Non OEM toner might have a different chemical formula than the OEM toner. It’s all about recourse and the replacement allowance you can negotiate with the printer manufacturer if your printer fails to work properly. Besides, Amazon order invoices are easy to download and save in a pdf format file. I have a small business, and I save every invoice or receipt that I can use to support a tax deduction anyway. Don’t you?

We always buy the original

Some years ago we got tired of all the drama with inkjet printers so we took the plunge and got a Brother laser printer/scanner. We have NEVER had any issues with it, ever: built like a tank, does what it's told, no drama, no fuss, always there. We always use the original Brother toner, just to keep on the safe side. Never had any issues at all.

Well, I needed to print an insurance claim for medical costs in Canada, so I needed this fast, and Amazon got it to me fast!

Toner Cartridges are Relatively Lower Capacity For the Price

The Brother Toner cartridges are fairly low capacity. That is due to the model printer, but my concern is the price. They are quite expensive. On the other hand, the less expensive cartridges are often remanufactured, and I am not enthusiastic about those. These do produce good quality copies.

Highway Robbery

We used to buy these OEM direct printer toners for our business. We went through them at a quick rate, printing over 2,500 sheets every two weeks. We have two printers; one in accounting and one in our plant; so we needed on average one a week. I kept track of the how much paper we were buying and for some reason it didnt match up to the amount of toner we were using based on coverage and the suggestions on the box. In the end we found that the toner didnt last as advertised. We therefore switched to a low cost "amazon" branded toner and have been testing it for the last two months. In the end the cost of the "amazon" recommended toner is 50% less than the OEM brand but we are getting more than double the number of prints than what we got on the OEM toner. I would highly recommend to try the amazon recommended one and save yourself some money!

Work great, but way too expensive

All of the printers in our work office use the same Brother toner, but we've switched to aftermarket toners from Amazon because they cost less than $10 each, while genuine Brother drums cost over $75. We do sometimes get streaky or blotchy prints on the aftermarket toners, which is why I purchased a genuine Brother toner to use as a diagnostic tool in case one of the printers starts printing really poorly. I would recommend trying Ink First, V4Ink drums or Ink & Toner 4 You, as we have had good luck with all of them and they cost a fraction of what a genuine toner costs while still printing an average of 2430 sheets based on our usage.

Terrible quality !!!!!!!!!!!!

Brother MFL-L2720DW ,TN660 We bought the printer about 5 months ago, everything was good until we installed this new toner TN660. It started printing smudge area on the very first page every time we start to print something, We tried to clean the toner and reset the printer several times but now it is getting worse. It's printing large smudge area (see the photo attached) almost leak inks on the paper. how can I fix it?

Si quieres que una Brother te dé el máximo compra cartucho original

lo he aprendido a la mala, pero las brother son excelentes impresoras, no dan problemas siempre y cuando no le metas cartuchos recargados o que no sean originales, aunque algunas impresoras brother soportan cartuchos genéricos la verdad es que terminan por causar problemas y terminas o comprando el cartucho original o cambiando de impresora. Mejor el original, ademas la calidad de la impresión blanco y negro es muy buena.
