A beautiful game

How To Be An Artist Without Being An Artist

The game Canvas is unique and fun to play. Each person in a two player mode have to create three different "paintings" by placing the see-through credit card thick plastic card with an artwork painting like a child holding balloons in combination to two other cards that form a work of art even with its own title. Scoring depends on what symbols are represented on each of your three works of art. The Art Cards are fun to explore and see how each part of a painting will influence the overall painting the player will display and score points from. A unique concept in game playing creating a very unique playing game experience. Are you tired of the usual "battle/medieval" games try Canvas!

Money well spent - beautiful game!

Was a bit challenging to learn, but once you get it, you get it! The art cards and all the parts are really beautiful and well made. This was recommended by a friend who is obsessed with board games, so I took his word for it and am not sorry. The game is different every time you play based on which cards you choose. They determine what your goals will be for that particular game. It won’t get old since the object is always different!

Beautifully unique

This is a terrific and unique entry level game that can, however, be enjoyed by a wide variety of gamers. The rules are simple; but, the decisions can drive you crazy. Perfect. My wife of 47 years, a wonderful sketch artist in her own right, has begun to find gaming difficult due to Lyme and fibromyalgia. I bought this game based on its theme and what I learned of its game play through several videos. I thought if anything might bring her back to the table, this might. I was right. And, again, it's all because the game play is simple, the scoring is simple; but, the game does challenge with the occasional frustrating demands for choice . . . . Do I lose this to gain this? What will give me the most bang for my buck; the most points in the long run? And, a bonus for us: a pair of well designed solo variants that allow us to sit down and play as a team against "Vincent" who is merely there to steal possibly valuable cards away just when we knew we wanted that one. And, did I mention how unique the transparent cards are to game play? All-in-all, we're enjoying Canvas.
