One of my best buys!

I recently purchased this infrared heat lamp from Beurer and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This lamp is versatile and can be used for multiple purposes, from providing pain relief to relaxing sore muscles after a long day. I have found it particularly helpful in alleviating my neck and shoulder pain. Please be careful!

This lamp gets very, very hot! The *entire* unit, not only the light component. At first I used it laying on my side on the floor next to it, a few feet away. But that wasn’t comfortable on my already painful back. So I put it on the nightstand next to my bed. When the lamp tipped over forward, it slid down the incline of my mattress toward me. I rolled over quickly to grab it. Only the very top of the unit- the plastic part on the top that you can use as a handle- touched my back. I jumped away so quickly from the pain that it couldn’t have been in contact with my skin for even a whole second. I really had been getting pain relief from this lamp. I did like the heat function as well as the led light (now reconsidering that part, lol). Just be super careful where you place this unit! Make sure if it does tip over, it can’t slide.

Amazing Relief of Neck, Back and Sinus Issues

I purchased this device over 3 years ago. In that time my entire family has used the device for any number of ailments. When you first use it it's easy to think that the relief is just some placebo effect, but for me, it has helped alleviate back and neckache pain. As in, I don't have them anymore. It also helps with sinus and allergy relief. On top of that, I think it cost less today than when I first purchased it. Highly recommended!

Instant warmth and FSA/HSA eligible!

I've owned this for a couple of years and have enjoyed the instant soothing heat that it provides. It is well built and sturdy. I mainly use this in the bathroom and have it positioned on the counter pointing towards the shower. I turn it on when I get in the shower and when I get out a few minutes later and dry myself off, it feels like I'm standing in warm sunlight. No more after shower chill! It sits several feet away from the tub/shower, so it doesn't get near any water or near the sink and it is plugged into a GFCI outlet for added safety. This really should be a five star product review, but my unit has a particular quirk. It doesn't always shut off when the timer gets to 0. The picture attached shows the lamp still on with the timer at zero. The fan will stop when this happens and in a minute or so a safety mechanism kicks in and the lamp eventually shuts off due to the overheating. Since I always manually turn it off when I get out of the shower and never leave the lamp unattended, I've learned to live with it. I still highly recommend this lamp but caution anyone to test the unit's timer function within Amazon's return window. I discovered this issue too late to return the product. Don't hesitate to purchase one, but test it thoroughly and always use the power button on the right side to shut it off or simply unplug it when you are finished using it.. I think mine just had a rare defect.

Wonderful Healing Infrared Light

My husband and I have been using this product for over 2 and half years for various serious injuries after a motorcycle accident. The pain relief is instant and healing is accelerated overnight. If you're an active athlete, this is a great product to use daily for faster recovery. Highly recommended.

Yes, it really works!

As a sufferer of near constant back pain for thirty years, I feel most qualified to submit this review. Being at the "I will try anything stage" for years now, what I call "buying hope", just the chance of any relief makes me feel better. But in the case of the Beurer IL50, I was shocked to feel near instant pain reduction on the first use! The Infrared Red Light technology is so superior to a conventional heating pad, I am at a loss to properly convey the sentiment. Other than to say, my heating pad has a new home in our cat's bed! Further, in emailing for some clarification from Beurer on the product's use, I quickly received a return email, addressing my question fully, with a concise and courteous response. Thanks providing a quality product at an affordable price!

With minimum usage this product has conked off within 6 months

I was very eager and happy to attain this product. Have used it with care and not as regularly as i could have. And yet, it could not stand the test of durability as promised by the company. It's apparently too late for Amazon to do anything about this. The bulb or the filament appears to be the issue and that doesn't come under warranty. So, a sad end to a promising product.

I had bought it in Oct 19. Now it has become defective not giving the services from 08 Feb 20. It is very painful to notice that such highly priced item has become useless within 4 months. Request get it repaired.
