Works as advertised

This is a great concept and it removes a pile of undercoat easily . It works on mats, but you have to work on them slowly. My cat hates to be combed and brushed and acts like I’m killing him when I do..so this will work great if you have a more compliant animal.

Great for Miniature Poodles!

Handy little tool for poodle lovers and the blade can be moved to use it right or left-handed. It really works. Much better than a comb or brush for getting out those hard to untangle spots.

Exactly what I was looking for

I lost my previous one and my cat was getting clumped underhairs. This cleaned them right up with no pain to my cat. He's very happy to be nicely groomed again and is walking around the house like a movie star.

Worked on Senior Cat Lady with Haunch Matts, it's a win!

If you are gentle and use as recommended, this cares for your Cat's Matts. If you have a matted elder kitty, it's likely because it is painful for them to move back there or just too much effort to do daily. They also lose a lot more fur and have various oil issues, may have some kidney problems that causes variations in shedding, and so on. My 18 year old lady is very gregarious still but she just can't be bothered to put in all that effort. Lady, I feel ya. She was such a fastidious girl when younger, and she seemed to be very pained and unhappy and if I even touched one matt she would run off and when I tried to comb one, she actually hid under the bed. Then, I bought this. We had about 17 matts on her senior haunches and with slow and gentle work, but not MUCH - it only took about an hour, I was able to work them all out without a single look of HOW DARE YOU. She didn't love being held in place but she wasn't bothered by my manipulations with this tool. It's that good. After, she was in the best mood she had been in for a month. Her matting is completely reduced now and we're all relieved. GREAT tool- read instructions though.

Knotty problems solved

Bought this as an extra alongside the deshedding tool. Great for use on my Papillons who tend to get knots in their coats. Removes just the right amount of hair without leaving it look as though it has been cut. Leaves in the layers. Just need to get the right angle for the blade to work
