Heavy Duty!
I really really really like this product! I already have a cows bell but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on another one. I searched Amazon and found this and I was happy to have found it! This item created another cow bell for me and the great thing about it is, I can modify it to any weight level that I want!! Very ingenious product!!!

Made of plastic.
I should have read the description better. I wasn't expecting the item to be made of plastic. Or at least it feels like it's only plastic. I hoping there's some inner skeletal metal reinforcement. But hey, man, it's under $20 and way cheaper than a kettlebel. Just don't swing it towards anything of value or living.

Works great for swings
Workout at Planet Fitness. Loaded with a 25, a 10 and a 5 and worked great for kb swings. Don’t see myself doing much else with it.

Well built and effective for what I need
This is an excellent product for kettlebell swings and for pull up row type exercises. I don't think that it would be good for the clean and jerk style work outs as the handle is rubber and would not slip effectively for this purpose. That said I have a full set of dumbbells which I'd rather use and consider to be more effective for non swinging kettlebell moves. These handles can easily support 50 pounds plus, which is what I'm using for the row workout. I am currently using 35 pounds for the kettlebell swing and might work my way up to 40 or 45. I purchased two of these while they were on sale and consider them an excellent deal compared to the other copies of this same style, this giving me the advantage of not having to shift weights between sets. I like the all rubber grip over the half hard rubber and half soft rubber grip of the other variety scene in the orange brand. These handles are also a smidgeon larger than the orange brand, so if you want the extra hand space this may be a consideration for you as well. As for the color they are definitely red if that makes a difference. The plastic spin locks are a little on the small size so I am employing a pair of spare all metal spin locks that are easier to tighten (one on each handle). As far as loosening during a kettlebell swing move, this is highly unlikely. If you twist them securely into place and follow them up with a metal spin lock your hand will likely sprain from twisting force (if you are careless) before the handle would loosen. Once I've twisted mine into place it takes an extreme amount of force to loosen them, so don't have any concern there if you properly secure both the post and the spin lock individually. The handles would likely make great pushup tools, but I already have a product designed specifically for that purpose, that said if you are willing to disassemble the product for that purpose I'm certain this would be of added value to you. Recommended.

Get lynch pins or broken toes
Before I ordered I saw what others had written about the weight plates unscrewing and potentially falling off during exercise. It's not an issue if you want the weights filled up to the top as there are grippy rubber pieces at the bottom of the handle part and the top of the base part. With a full stack of 25+ kgs you can probably get away with the bells tightened down hard and hope for the best. The problem is when you want them partially filled with weights, like here, I have a pair set up with 14 kgs each for example. If you screw the handle all the way down onto the stack with only these few weights on, too much of the threaded rod runs into the opening of the handle and harasses the back of your hand. I have solved this issue by: 1) cutting four rubber grip washers out of some old bicycle inner tube. This means when the red nuts are tightened down on the weight stack and the handle part they grip. You can probably buy actual rubber washers too. A proper manufacturer could perhaps have bonded a grippy rubber insert to one side of the red nuts? I've seen closed cell foam washers in plumbing applications that would do the job lovely also. This almost does the job on its own, but I also 2) cross drilled the top of the threaded rod with a 5 mm drill bit and fitted security pins. The pins were bought off Amazon and we're sold as 4.5mm lynch pins. Whipping the pins in and out when changing the weight stack only takes a second or two. One of the best things about these devices is how easily the handles and red locking nuts spin up and down the rods when changing weights. It means that I can move up and down the weight sizes of my two kettle bells within a one minute rest between sets! But the downside of this easy spinning off of the nuts and handle is the associated likelihood of them spinning off when you are, I don't know, hurling fast 30kg KB swings in front of your patio doors, the cat, your big telly, your own toes, etc. Still, it was an easy fix, although not everyone has a workshop full of tools 3m from where they work out. Only three stars because without this easy fix, these things are not really fit for purpose. In fact they are dangerous. I don't fancy what my toes would look like in trainers after a 25 kg stack of weights fell on them from shoulder height. With these handles, as supplied, exercises like KB clean and jerk, done properly, require a rapid rotation of the wrist, which without my mods unscrews the handles entirely in about 2 reps. Guaranteed. The idea is great. And it's 98% there. For 5 minutes work, a bit of engineering common sense and a few pence in lynch pins etc. I've ended up with a full set of kettle bells from 1 kg to 35 kg! For approx £50! You can't get one secondhand 25 kg kettle bell for that! So for that reason I'm relatively pleased. So brilliant product. But only if you are willing and able to finish building it!
