Works great for office desk

I bought 2 of these to use as the base for my desk top. They work great, they were a little short without the wheels so I added 2 inches by painting and securing 2x4's between the cabinets and desk top. These were simple to put together, it took me about 45 minutes to have both fully assembled. They are sturdy as well.

Ok, but could be better

It took a long time to put together but it was not hard. There was some peeling of the edges. I don't think it's worth the cost but it's not bad. Wish the drawers were longer.

Great storage unit for crafts

Was a little nervous to put this together after reading some of the reviews, but my parts were all clearly labeled and each instruction sheet referred to the labeled part. While it did take over two hours to assemble, I was happy with the results. Everything went together the drawers slide good the door I was able to adjust and shuts perfectly. Overall, it was just what I was looking for so I’m very happy with the purchase.

This could have been 5 stars.

This arrived timely and packaged nicely. It was terrible to assemble and the one small thing that would have made all the difference would be if they'd have labelled the parts. So simple, but would have taken this from a 3 star rating to a 5 star rating for me. It's not a fine piece of furniture but I didn't expect it to be. I'll be using it in my craft room to store sewing/crafting items and it will work fine for this. However it did cost enough that I don't think it would have been too much to ask for better instructions and LABELLING all parts! When you first get this sit down with the drawings and parts and try your best to figure out what is what and label them yourself. Don't forget the hardware, there are large and small sizes of the same hardware items and it's important. I did this but I still had a lot of trouble and it all boiled down to extremely poor instructions and no labels whatsoever. I'm not new to assembling things but this was very frustrating. I do think this will help a lot in my craft room though so figure it deserves a 3. Good luck!

Love it!

If my boyfriend wasn’t around to assemble it I don’t think I would have gotten it. It took him a couple hours but it besides that it is beautiful and perfect just as advertised

Ok for the price, but could be better.

Everything was nicely packed and all parts and hardware were there and in overall good condition. Good instruction manual in 3 languages. The only issues I had with it were the peeled off bits of fake wood texturing one of the drawer back panels, and a rather long (but not deep) scratch mark on the front of the door which doesn't seem to have damaged the paint/texture. In any case, it's not that noticable or annoying. Assembly was easy enough, but put aside about 2-3 hours if you're doing this alone. I recommend using a drill to do the screws just so you don't overwork your wrist. Also, don't overtighten your screws or you'll just damage the hole and it won't be tight anymore. I appreciate the center wheel because it will prevent sagging over time; it IS made from particle board, after all.

Great for the cost

I rarely write reviews but thought this one was worth it. I got this when it was on sale for $99. I was looking at similar ones for $150+, but glad I waited until this price dropped. Yes it’s a plywood cabinet so it’s not the BEST wood, but it does the trick. There’s a ton of little pieces and boards and the one con is that nothing is labeled. THAT SAID. Sit down, go through the list of parts, see that you have them and which pieces are which. If you need it, there’s a form to send in for replacement or more parts. I had all of my parts. This is definitely a couple hour project. It can get confusing if you don’t pay attention, but if you read through the parts list, look at the diagrams WELL (and many times per step in some cases), you’ll be fine. Nothing tripped me up that I couldn’t figure out. Go slow and pay attention and you’ll be fine. As for longevity, be nice to it. People give IKEA and plywood furniture a bad wrap but I have MANY pieces that have been through MULTIPLE moves and they’re all fine. This works exactly as I intended and would buy it again. Definitely recommend.

Hell to build

I’ve never had to pay someone to build something for me. This was ridiculous and I didn’t have the time to invest. It took a professional like 4 hours to figure out.

Smaller than anticipated, but nice nevertheless

Take a good look at the dimensions. This item appears bigger on the web site than it is in reality. Other than that, it's fine. My only complaint is that the drawers are not very deep, which is a bit annoying. That being said, the pieces were all in good shape and fit well together. Assembly was a bit lengthy but it was straightforward. It took me 2 hours 15 minutes alone (instructions mention 3h for 2 people). All the hardware required was included : using an electric screwdriver speeds up assembly considerably.

Not as good as expected, quality is disappointing

There are many obvious edges where the paint has been scratched off when I received it brand new in the box. Instruction to assemble is unclear and hard to read. Took a long time to assemble. Overall quality is not as expected but given the price of the product, it’s relatively acceptable. However, I would choose ikea over this if I were to choose again.

Assembly takes a while but is not difficult!

All these people saying it is difficult to assemble....the truth is it will take one person approx 2 hours to assemble it, no big deal just follow the directions and take your time. I did it in that time and everything went smoothly. The only issue I had was that there were some screws missing so I had to put in some of my own. This unit is very sturdy and well made, not cheap material, its real wood. It is expensive but a quality product!!!
