Be gentle

I like these lights. So easy to install and look great when up. I also like that I bought several from the warehouse at a cheaper price. I think there are a lot of returns because people don't know how to extend the stem before installing. Don't yank on it. Grip the end and slowly pull it out. Works every time. After removing previous bulb and ring with the springs, screw it in like a regular bulb and push slightly to make it touch ceiling. I don't have photos because I sold that property. Good value. I'm glad I made this purchase and will buy more as needed in my next property.

Humming ballasts

These have a nice color temperature and are a nice easy retrofit for existing 4" can lights, but they develop a ballast hum pretty quickly. This isn't unique to these though, everything with a cheap Chinese ballast spits out stray RF and really should be banned, as I'm sure these violate FCC radio energy emissions regulations.

Solves the problem, less work

We had bees coming in through our can lights. I didn't want the hassle of replacing the can light with a newer, more closed model. Did some research and found this bulb that has extends to reach the inner fixture, and because it has the ability, the light which has a built in baffle, fit perfectly in the opening. No more bees (but that's a problem in and of itself). I'm going to buy 3 more for my other can lights.

Does not fit

Lamp neck not as long as it states therefore it does not fit inside the can

all in one decorative replacement for recessed spot lighting

Excellent for replacing bracketed spot lighting because decorative surround is included and easy to install in standard recessed light socket. Light is very bright with very nice balanced light tone.
