Good but not universal solution

Works great in the lamp that has a simple on/off switch. Provides a warm light, not the cold white of "daylight" bulbs. Not quite as bright as a 200w classic light bulb but close enough. Not for lamps associated with a dimmer switch however. Even LED bulbs that claim to be dimmer-switch-friendly haven't worked very well, so that was no surprise. These LED bulbs all come with packaging asserting that they'll live longer than the family pets but you know how that goes. Since this bulb just arrived I can't speak to its longevity, but other LED bulbs all seem to last only as long as the classic light bulbs they're replacing. It's bound to last longer than the 200w classic light bulb it's replacing though. The grocery store had had a sale on those and the 200w classic light bulb lasted all of one month. This LED bulb may be priced at 6x the sale price of the standard bulbs but if it lasts longer than six months it will have proven to be the better deal, and without having to change the bulb six times.

Lasted 3 or 4 years in our enclosed kitchen globe

On one hand, I love this bulb for its brightness. But it died after three or four years; we bought it in 2019. If it was four years, that's $5 per year, seems expensive. ideal for areas with voltage fluctuations Medium base, bright white light 3000K, damp rated, approved for use in enclosed fixtures We have major power fluctuations and it's in an enclosed fixture. Is this really the best we can hope for? Maybe . . . .

Super bright, yet compact enough to fit in our enclosed fixture

My barn has 5 internal light fixtures - a small fixture in each corner, plus a large one in the middle. The four corner fixtures can only accommodate smallish, 60-watt sized bulbs, while the large middle fixture was designed for a 250-watt incandescent bulb. We switched from incandescent bulbs to energy-saving compact fluorescents a few years back, and we’re now in the process of replacing our CFBs with LEDs. The big barn light has been a challenge, however. I have not been able to find a CFB with brightness comparable to a 250-watt incandescent that’s also small enough to fit our enclosed fixture. Even the less-bright ones I found failed after about a year. The big barn fixture is very difficult to reach, so having to change the bulb every year is a pain. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found this LED bulb and read that it was approved for use in enclosed fixtures. Its A23 size makes it compact enough to fit easily our fixture, and it throws out lots of light in all directions. (It’s the brightest “200-watt equivalent” I’ve ever used.) I’m more than happy to pay the somewhat steep price for a bulb that lights up the whole barn and lasts for years.

SET UP BULB IN YOUR WIRELESS SYSTEM

I connected this garage ceiling light to my Alexa system. I can turn this bulb ON/OFF as needed with wireless commands. "ALEXA, TURN GARAGE ON" OR "ALEXA TURN GARAGE OFF" throughout the house and from my cell phone. I tried all kinds of motion detectors, but none of them were useless. This light gives off BRILLIANT light all over the two car garage. Bulb power source and garage door opener power source are from the same duplex electrical outlet in the ceiling just behind the garage door opener. Entire install and set-up was done in 5 minutes.

Big compared to 60w bulb

I'm giving it 5 stars because it came as advertised. The light worked well in a floor lamp and did a surprisingly good job sending light in all directions. The bulb takes a half a second to turn on after flipping the switch. Would not recommend in a lamp that is frequently turned off and on... although not sure many people would be getting this for their bathroom lol. If you are trying to upgrade from a 100w equivalent led like I was, you will probably not see a huge difference. This 3050 Lumen bulb looked about 25% brighter than the 1600 lumen bulb (not pictured) it was replacing. Since our eyes process brightness exponentially, this is to be expected.

Really Bright and Looks like a Real Light Bulb

Lives up to its claim to be equivalent to 200 watt incandescent. Available in warm white which I much prefer over the so-called daylight bulbs. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for the other side of my garage.

Extremely bright a little bit long in size

Extremely bright light but it is longer than a standard bulb and will not fit in the most exterior fixtures. If you can put this into a fixture that has an open end allowing it to stick out then you’re a good but if it’s an enclosed exterior light fixture or interior light fixture most likely it will be too big.

Very bright but unidirectonal

Using as a replacement for a 3 way mogul base bulb in an old floor lamp with a one way size adapter. Very bright but the large base blocks all light that might go in a downward (in a floor lamp) direction so not as pleasing as an incandescent inside the lamp reflector and shade. Does an excellent job of illuminating the room with very bright light that shines on the ceiling. I find the bright white color pleasing in this bright light application.
