Decent Rotary Tool

I wanted a small rotary for carving foam pumpkins. This one does a good job. Bonus that it has leds in the end...really helps to see those small details. Battery life is good for what I do with it. And this tool does a good job modifying die cast cards too. The tool isn't quite as small as I was hoping for but it is smaller than my Dremel 3000.

Did everything I needed it to do.

I am a hobbyist and NOT a professional. I needed a rotary tool to custom fit AK-47 furniture and didn't want to spend a ton of money on a tool I wouldn't be using a ton. I was very happy with this rotary tool. It was easy to use and I had no issues with power or reliability. If you're on a budget and need a light duty rotary tool, this one should be a good match.

Excelent!

I have owned a similar tool since 2008. Which cost me like $50 dollars at the time. Came with about ten or so bits. No tool box etc. It still works as well today as it did when new. But the bits are all worn out. So I bought this one from Amazon. For $36 dollars. Having noticed the wide selection of bits. Not only dos it have all the bits I need. But the tool is a lot more beefy and better constructed than my old one. I also like the cable attachment. Great for delicate work. Oh! And it wasn't over packed! Over use of packaging being a pet peeve of mine.

Not a Dremel but fraction of the cost

Lots of stuff provided with the tool for a fraction of the cost of a dremel. What I found was that the drill head was not totally centred and thus when doing fine stuff, seem to wobble a little. Ok for what I wanted and thus decided to keep it. IF you need it for fine work, get a Dremel.

Great product for a great price.

I was impressed by what you received based on the price. I have dremel tools, but they didn't come with a case and a flexible shaft and a nice selection of bits.

Really good for trimming pet nails.

This is my third dremmel. I use mine mostly for trimming dog toe nails. I have worn out two others that cost a lot more. I like this one because it is smaller and more nimble in my hand and because the light really does help me see to do the nails. I have used it for a while now and I would recommend it.

upgrade rotory tool

I had a cheep $10 rotary tool that finally gave up the ghost. Decide to upgrade a little to this more powerful rotary tool. I tried out first day I got it. It was fairly quite didn't need any ear protection. I wasn't cutting anything just sanding/grinding. It did the job really well. It's not too heavy and did not fatigue my hand and wrist after 30 min. work with it. The motor did not overheat and did not feel hot to touch after turning off. I would have like it it had more grinders in the kit (what I use most) only has about 3. I only had a day so will update again after 6 months on the reliability or how it holds up.

Machine and its bits falling apart in a days time!

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April ‘18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April ‘18. In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened. 1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood. 2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away. 3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip. 4. There is sparking inside the machine. WEN industries should really look into these issues.

- Poor bit quality. - Shaft and motor overheats very quickly - when using bits with a large diameter on low rpm, bit oscillation is very high. Hence unable to use. Could be dangerous even for power users.
