Nice for pyrography

After searching Amazon vigorously, I finally found small wood slices that were not made of pine. I woodburn by hand (pyrography) and I needed to make coasters. Out of the entire box, only 4 were big enough for coasters. The rest are a good size for ornaments. The wood burned nice, and I am very happy. I will purchase again in the future.

Not Great Quality

I use these to burn on for my art and sell them. Most all of these had big brown splotches and spots that don’t make for a clean canvas. Will stick to buying them in store.

Favorite Buy of the Year

These were absolutely perfect! I loved the size variation and used the different sizes to my advantage. The sizing is consistent but still different if that makes sense. I used these to wood burn my “save the date” magnets for my wedding in Las Vegas and am giving them to my friends. Even if you don’t wood burn, these would be cool to use as save the dates if you could buy a stencil and spray paint your message on. I also wood burned people’s names and a little message on the back. They are so fun and feel luxurious and rustic at the same time. I can’t say enough good things. If anyone wants to see more or if you need any tips I’ve been instagramming my progress @chasingcarlo

A lot Nicer Than Expected

Before I purchased these I was buying bags of them at Hobby Lobby. The ones from Hobby Lobby were quite rough and you always got a few with cracks and large knots. These are not only cheaper but have much better quality. None of the wood I received had large knots or cracks. And the wood was already so smooth it almost needed no sanding at all! I am never going back to over-priced crappy Hobby Lobby wood.

Not the size I thought I was ordering, but the size I needed

Because I didn't read the listing close enough I thought I was ordering the 'normal' coaster sized blanks. These came substantially smaller than expected but oh my goodness am I pleased with the results! They're perfect for small, detailed accents and tiny scenes. The natural blemishes in the wood and bark lend well to integrating the wood into the design itself and I am thrilled with the quality of the sanding and kiln dried wood itself. I use these blanks in my art business YarrishArts (find us on Etsy or FB) and the quality is unmatched with Walnut Hollow products. This was a mistake I will continue to make.

Perfect for use with a Scorch Marker

The media could not be loaded. Not sure if you watched the video or not but these rounds work perfectly with my Scorch Marker. They’re smooth, affordable and consistent. Can’t ask for more bang for your buck. I will by again.

Pictures are deceiving

In the photo they look all the same shape. But they are definitely not. Some are very large, some and medium, and some are the size shown here. Nice wood material though.

Pleasantly surprised

Nearly didn't order these due to the negative reviews but I'm glad I did. Yes, they are all different sizes and the shape varies slightly but this is to be expected from a natural product - all slices are very useable and well within the dimensions given in the description. Ordered for pyrography and very pleased with what I received.

Too small

Terrible. The description says at least 2.5-3.5 inches and they’re about 1.5 inches. Way too small. Can’t even use them for coasters.

Delusa... Disappointed...

Triste che e' arrivato solo UNO. Non era un confezione di 8. La corteccia era quasi tutto tolto. Lo mantengo, pero sono rimasta veramente delusa. Sono delusa. Aspettavo quello che era scritta, un confezione di OTTO pezzi, e che erano in meglio condizione. So sad that it arrived as a SINGLE (ONE) piece of wood. Not 8 slices/rounds. The bark was almost all off. I will keep it, but am disappointed with the false advertising, with there not being more rounds, and that the ONE I did receive wasn't in better shape.

Quality Downgrade

This is the 3rd time I have ordered this product and I'm really disappointed this time around. The ad claims these can be made into coasters, but I'd say 50% of the 25 pieces aren't even the diameter of a coffee cup. I bought similar wood slices from another merchant, for half the price, and the quality and value was much better. Very disappointed with this batch.

One is a perfect circle and the other is pretty ugly shape

The wood circles are not as round as on the picture. One is a perfect circle and the other is pretty ugly shape. I only received 2 out of 16 circles I was supposed to, so maybe overall they are pretty close in shape, however I cannot tell. Makes them pretty expensive for just 2 circles. I think that hole could be drilled a little higher as it would interfere with the design. It’s a lot lower than the picture shows.
