It works
The media could not be loaded. The only difference so far is that you have to throw the switch twice to get it to do its thing, otherwise so far so good. I was worried that it wouldn’t work with the timer settings but it does. Like others have said, most difficult part was getting the old switch out. Overall a much better option than $95 just to send it in to Vitamix

Worked great
Not an exact replacement - but works great and easy to install with some YouTube sleuthing. You do have to switch on and off more than once to get it to turn on- possibly bc there are only two prongs instead of three with the original. But - much easier and cheaper than sending in for a fix.

Exact replacement switch for my older Vita-Mix blender.
Opening the Vita-Mix case to access the switch requires: A) removing the drive socket using a 5/64 hex key and B) removing the 4 Phillips head screws under the rubber centering pad. NOTE: The Vita-Mix website has directions for removing the drive socket, and Youtube has instructional videos. Getting the old switch out takes some patience and maneuvering, because the expander tabs on both the top and bottom of the switch must be compressed for removal. I used a small C clamp and aggressively tightened it. Vita-Mix refuses to publish a service manual or provide repair instructions for any steps that require opening the case. The principles of replacing the switch are simple, but be prepared for plenty of unproductive attempts before you will be able to finally extract the old switch. If you are doing the repair on the dining table, use protective cardboard. You will encounter some greasy substances when opening the case. I hope these tips help you revitalize your blender.

Very different style, same function
The switch is not the same as the original (thinner and longer), but my mixer works and that what matters.

Not Original
I purchased this switch to replace the broken on/off switch on my Vitamix. It was a nice fit and it works great but it does not match the switch on the opposite side. Because of that and because it came without a clue as to how to install it is why I gave it 4 stars . Price and Delivery rated 5 stars.

EASY!
How many people would throw away a $400+ blender because they broke this switch? Don't be that guy. You can get to this switch with a philips screwdriver and a 2mm allen wrench. No real technical knowledge needed...it's just two wires on the back. The only advice I could give the seller is that IF there was a little sheet describing how to get TO this switch rather than having to find videos on Youtube, it'd be a no-brainer!

So happy to have the blender working again
Perfect fit! It does look slightly different than the original toggle switch, but I don't care. It works and seems more sturdy than the busted It replaced. These blenders are pricey. I am happy to find replacement parts at a reasonable price.

Good substitute part
It's slightly different than the original Vitamix switch (not as solid/well made) but it's a good substitute and it works so I'm happy with it.
