Smells great, holds form

It’s fine, I just don’t know that it’s a clay
It’ll do the trick. Not worth returning but it doesn’t really seem like a clay.

Amazing clay, but not fully filled.
One of the best clays on the market. I have tried many expensive products for hairstyling such as Billy Jealousy, Hanz De Fuko and Baxter of California. Vaughn's V76 Texture Clay smells delicious (sweet and powderish scent) and is very soft. Easy to apply in hair and instantly gives texture. Does not feel heavy on gunky in the hair at all, but natural and lightweight. Would not recommend this clay for longer hair. This is definitely my favorite product, but unfortunately is expensive and not much in quantity. I used to receive the actual advertised amount; 1.7oz. But recently bought another one, which had me in surprise. The can was filled, but was missing a quarter of the usual amount. It is a brand new product (zippo for scale). The actual amount is now closer to 1.4oz or less. My previous cans were all filled till the top. I'm disappointed and unsure if it's worth considering again in the future. I felt like I had to share this with you all.

It’s great
It’s pretty good , way better than hair gel in my opinion. Hold hair pretty good , no dandruff or anything after 2 days of not washing ( I wash my hair every other day ) , smells good, I’ve had compliments from it that my hair smells great. Does everything you need it to do , in giving it 4 stars however because I think it kinda comes half full ( although I’m sure it’ll last you about 2 months of daily use). Still the price is a bit high at least fill it to the top. Great product other than that , no complaints would recommend.

One of the best hair products I've used -- slightly expensive, though.
I love this stuff. It is MUCH easier to work with and apply to hair than the other stuff I used to use (American Crew Fiber) and this one also gives a much more natural, non-stiff look. The smell is good, but does have a very slightly feminineness to it. You won't smell like a girl, by any means; it's just not super masculine like a sandalwood would be. The only thing keeping me from rating is 5/5 is the price. It's a bit expensive at $21. I'm on my second bottle, but unfortunately I didn't track how long the first one lasted me. If I had to guess, I use an entire one in 30 days. I'll track this bottle to confirm that and edit my review. I'm very analytical and if it is 30 days/bottle for me, that works out to be $0.70 a day to have great looking hair, which is worth it to me.

Best balance of hold, pliability, and finish
I almost never write Amazon reviews as I don't ever want this product to stop being made, I am here to sing its praises. What I love about it is that it does a good job of keeping hair in place, but also imports a beachy texture. Really hate shine in my hair, so I'm a big fan of the matte finish. And washes out well. In decades of using hair products, this is the best stuff I've ever found. Just buy it.

Direct replacement for the V76 Tex Paste that was discontinued
It seems they stopped making the V76 Tex Paste and just repackaged it with a new can color in this Texture Clay. It is identical to the original paste which has medium hold and a nice sheen. I can put a little of this in my hair and it holds its shape all day no problems. I put it in while my hair is still damp after toweling off and it goes on nice and no globs. Just a pea sized amount and rub it in over your palms and fingers to warm it up and slide it through your hair. For $21, its pretty pricey as your stylist can get it from the supply store for about $10 but its still worth it to me.

Good but a bit overpriced
The quality of the product is good but it's not really significantly better than cheaper options.
