Good for tungsten grinding
I mounted this on a bench grinder alongside a finer diamond wheel for grinding my welding electrodes. I can rough the tungsten with this disk and finish grind with a finer grit wheel.

Works great for grinding tungsten TIG electrodes, I used a carbide bit to enlarge the arbor to 5/8 and sistered it up against my other grinding wheel, with a thick stock spacer. Will buy again. Cheap cheap.

great value
Great value. I use this on an inexpensive 6" bench grinder that has a 1/2" arbor, with the stone that came with the grinder as a backer. I use it to put the final polish on tungstens for TIG welding. One thing I had to be careful with is centering it on the arbor. It's not exactly 1/2" opening, so there's some wiggle room, nothing to center it automatically if using on a bench grinder. So I had to play around with it until the setup didn't wobble or vibrate. That's important, as running the grinder out of balance is probably dangerous. I also wouldn't suggest still using the grinding wheel behind the disk. It's just a backer. I do shaping and grinding of tungsten on the other wheel, on the other side of the grinder, about 80 grit. The combination works great for me.

Amazing Value
This is a good diameter and fits on a standard 1/2 inch arbor grinder (I use a bench top grinder). I left a grinding wheel on the grinder to give it some backing (this was stacked onto the existing wheel). It takes glass down fast and works well if you are looking to smooth glass or similar material.

If you have to sharpen tungsten carbide stump grinder teeth, just buy this wheel.
I have a stump grinder and I needed to sharpen the tungsten carbide teeth. I tried several grinding wheels with mixed results. I bought this diamond wheel and put it on a standard 6 inch bench grinder. It rounded down the teeth extremely well. I was amazed by the results. The corners on the teeth are now as sharp as they can be. This is the only way to go to sharpen tungsten carbide stump grinder teeth. Bravo.

Inaccurate description
Arbor hole on the item I received was 3/4", not 1/2". Other than that, it looks well made. Returning it.

I use this disk on an old Hi-Tech brand flat-lap machine to do touch up work on shaped cabochons after the rough grinding stage. It fits perfectly and seems to have plenty of diamonds. I also like that there isn't an abundance of "high diamonds" to work down, so it doesn't leave too many messy scratches on my stones initially. I usually use a 600 Grit disk for this step, but the 400 Grit seems just as gentle and works even better on harder materials like agates and jasper. And at this price, you can't go wrong!
